Firebird Tours

Worked with Sim to plan a private tour of Spain. Covid was just starting to be a problem. We were concerned about making reservations but Firebird made a commitment to make their customers whole as far as possible so we went ahead and made reservations. The worst happened and we needed to cancel the trip. We had never used Firebird before so had no way of knowing how it would turn out. Sim was as good as his word, they cancelled everything and returned our deposit.

When the world is open again we will plan this trip again with Firebird. They are honest brokers and I would not hesitate using them in the future.

Excellent trip, lots of travelling and very well coordinated.
Moscow and St Petersburg were lovely but for us the trip came alive when we ventured further north and spent time with the local people.
Fantastic scenery, even managed to see the Northern Lights two nights running.
All the guides were very knowledgeable, we had a thoroughly enjoyable trip.

Great trip! Never had to worry because every detail had been replanned for us and also left us enough time to explore on our own. Perfect!

Fantastic tour "Winter Norway/Finland." Guides were prompt, knowledgeable and fun! Hotels were conveniently located and very nice. Enjoyed the Hurtigruten ship experience..great food choices overall. I'd prefer to be able to speak with an agent vice all email.. it they were mostly prompt. I'd recommend Firebird.

I would say the staff at Firebirdtours away do there best at all times . On your last trip of 35 days we rated at 98% only one pick up one pick don鈥檛 turn up it was not Firebirdtours mistake it was the third part problem .All hotels were in great locations , you are right in the heart of each city or town . This was the second time we used Firebirdtours there were 14 in our group the first time there were 8 in our group . . I would recommend Firebirdtours to any body , the group all thought the got great value for there money . I will be using them again if we do any other Private Tour . Jack Meyer

I chose Firebird Tours off the internet – we hit the jackpot. They were awesome. They communicated in a timely fashion, put together a fantastic tour with excellent local guides and drivers. I have personally arranged trips with Firebird in Italy and France and my clients raved about everything: the hotels, the private and small group tours and the personalized transportation. The itinerary that Firebird put together was excellent. Three nights in each location in Portugal was an appropriate amount of time. I did combine 2 suggested itineraries – Lisbon, the Algarve and Porta (3 nights each)… This is a great way to see a lot of Portugal in 10 days/9 nights. All of the transportation was on-time, very professional and utilized luxury cars. The tours were also excellent – English speaking, knowledgeable guides who knew their history but also introduced you to actual life today in each city. I like the fact that Firebird let me pick my own hotels — I did go "off script" in Lisbon and the Algarve as was VERY happy with my choices. I would recommend Firebird to help make your vacation effortless, seemless, relaxing and most enjoyable.

My husband, daughter, and I booked a tour of Rome and Florence with Firebird Tours, and we cannot rate them more highly. First, Diana Tiechojeva was amazing鈥攕he was so patient as we planned the different aspects of our trip. I am a fairly nervous traveler and working with Diana actually made planning the trip a true pleasure. Second, the tour guides that Firebird chose for our private tours of the Vatican, sights in Florence, and the Uffizi Gallery in Florence were wonderful鈥攖hey were incredibly nice people and were passionate about their city and their love of history and art history. And, finally, our drivers were always on time, drove carefully, and were pleasant. You will be so happy if you use Firebird鈥攚e certainly will for future trips!!

We were completed satisfied with our Sicily tour with Firebird. It was a private tour, our friends and ourselves and everything just worked. I was quite pleased with how responsive the agents were to my many requests for small and large changes to the itinerary. I got quick responses and repeated offers for assistance. I liked that i got to choose the restaurants for this tour鈥攊t was one of the reasons I chose it. Food is important to me and my friends, as a way to really engage in the culture and for simple enjoyment. I did a lot of research choosing our restaurants, and then Firebird offered to make all the reservations for me鈥攚hich they did. The guides were universally engaging, very knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. The drivers were all very professional and often served as guides as well during the drive. Everyone showed up exactly when they were expected; so even though we didn鈥檛 know from the day to day who would be our guide we learned early not to worry鈥攖hey would be there, and they would be good. Several guides quickly understood our personal interests and on the fly modified the planned tour to suit us. This was especially true of Barbara, our guide in Ragusa. I told her as soon as we met that we were fans of the Montalbano television series and that was a main reason for putting Ragusa and Modica on our itinerary. She immediately shifted gears and came up with wonderful ideas that would never have occurred to us, to give us a chance to see many of the locations used in the series, and best of all, visit the permanent indoors set of the show. This lengthened the planned day-tour by several hours鈥攂ut neither she nor the driver, Carmelo, were concerned. I asked my wife if she could think of anything that needed improvement in this tour鈥攁nd she couldn鈥檛 think of a thing. It not only met our expectations-it exceeded them in every way!

Firebird Tours and their travel specialist Diana did a great job in setting up our trip to Switzerland! Our trip was customized to meet our desire to visit Brienz in addition to Zurich and Lucerne. Our hotels and their locations were perfect. In Zurich we stayed at Hotel St. Gotthard and in Brienz we stayed at Hotel Brienzerburli. The two guides we had for different tours were very informative and gave us great tours. We were able to see a very beautiful part of Switzerland thanks to Firebird Tours! Kathryn N.

Firebirds organized a fabulous custom trip for myself and 12 of my closest friends. All provisions were perfect…a wonderful company that organized our trip to perfection. Firebird was outstanding from the planning stages (understanding our needs and wants, and working with us to meet them within our budget) to their on-the-ground execution. From airport and ground transfers to terrific hotel choices and expert guides in some seven destinations over a three-week period, everything went smoothly. In one instance a guide had to cancel due to illness. We didn't learn about it until Firebird had already secured a substitute and sent us the new arrangement. We would not hestitate to use them again.

We had a wonderful trip and I would absolutely recommend this tour company. They arrange for all transfers, hotels and tours. Everything was delivered exactly as promised and on time. We only had one question and a representative was available immediately. Highly recommend.

This was our first trip with Firebird and it will not be our last! Firebird not only heard what we wanted in a trip but they actually delivered which cannot be said for many others. Our 4 week trip incorporated the Scandinavian countries, St. Petersburg and the Balkans and we consider this to being one of our best trips ever.
From the hotels to the guides to the drivers nothing disappointed us and each day was one we looked forward to. The few minor issues were addressed quickly and in a professional manner via contact with there office.

Firebird Tours was extremely helpful from planning to execution. I was planning a trip to Italy with my 17yr old son, his best friend, and his mom. We were looking for a group tour because of our tight budget, but we wanted to take the boys through all the supercar factories in Modena, which isn鈥檛 available on any standard tours. Firebird was able to organize a private tour, also coordinating logistics to work with another company so that we could do the things we wanted to do. As nervous as I was planning, Firebird made the trip so easy and enjoyable. I just wanted to relax and not worry about getting around. They took care of it all. A special big thank you to Mila. Her patience and persistence answering questions and offering reassurance, without any pressure whatsoever, made it happen and with only a month in advance!!

As a novice female traveler, I had to trust someone to help me know where to go, how to get there, where to stay, and that I could find assistance if I needed it. I try to do my homework and I actually began planning the trip with another agency comparing notes and expenses. The other company would have been cheaper, but as I began to ask questions about logistics, special requests, assistance available etc, it was Firebird that promptly responded to me, provided answers and reassurance, and had the most knowledge.

There are always little hiccups in any plan, and we only had a couple, but Firebird was able to intervene. I actually think their well-know status in the travel industry helped us when we arrived at a hotel to learn they had 鈥渙verbooked鈥?and wanted to split our reservation. This was not agreeable and I said I would just call Firebird and they quickly found rooms in a nearby hotel, and had a bag of snacks and treats delivered to us at the new hotel with apologies. The new hotel acknowledged we were with Firebird Tours and upgraded our room, kept the restaurant open for us, and gave us 20% off all of our meals plus coupons for other sites.

Our 4-star hotels, drivers, and guides were excellent, even on our tiny budget. It was the comfort, dependability, and assurance of Firebird Tours that enabled us to relax and enjoy it! It was an amazing mother & son trip that we will treasure forever. Thank you, Firebird Tours.

Our Trans Siberian Railway tour with Firebird was an amazing experience. The booking and visa processing service was easy and efficient. Our transfers to and from airports and train were well organised and our guides at various cities were very informative and enthusiastic about their areas and country. Our hotels were all very good and well located. We would recommend Firebird to anyone considering travelling to an area where this company has tours.

Firebird put together an amazing trip to Sicily. It was a good mix of organized tours and free time to explore on our own. All the guides were extremely knowledgeable and helpful in pointing out things we could explore further and dining suggestions. The hotels were all situated so we could easily venture off on our own to places of interest ,safely.

Monika worked with me to personalize our itinerary. We included a visit to a couple of small villages, not the usual touristy areas, so we could get a taste for how people live. It was a great experience.

The lunch and wine tasting at Mt Etna was one of the best wine tastings experiences we have ever had.

I would not hesitate to recommend Firebird and will definitely use them again.

JUST GOT BACK FROM 12 DAY TRIP TO ITALY USING FIREBIRD TOUR GUIDES. THE GUIDES IN VENICE, FLORENCE, ROME, SORRENTO AND POSITANO WERE WONDERFUL. THE HOTELS WERE VERY NICE AND ALL SERVED AN EXCELLENT BREAKFAST. WE ARE READY TO GO BACK AND WE WILL USE FIREBIRD TOURS AGAIN.

We recently traveled to Barcelona, Madrid and Lisbon; it was a memorable trip! Firebird went above and beyond with the planning and execution of all the little details that go into a 3 city trip.
