I have called multiple times to inquire of the status of my cooktop replacement and always end up on hold for over fifty minutes and at the end i get disconected no one calls back and here I am still waiting i WILL DEFINETLY RECONSIDER FOR A NEW CARRIER

First American Home Warranty is completely ineffective at actually getting any repairs done. I've now been waiting over a month and a half for a simple plumbing repair to my master shower. It's very clear that their paramount concern is the cost of the repair and not the consumer's best interest.

Once the plumbing is finally fixed, I'll have to source a separate contractor to fix the holes in the drywall because their contractor network is incredibly limited. I can already see how this is going to play out, having to pay more out of pocket than what they'll be willing to cover, but what choice do I have?

This is my first time using a home warranty service (it was included with the house at sale), and it will be the last.

Bogus, horrible, useless company! It has been 5 weeks since I reported my refrigerator/freezer not working. I have been neglected, ignored and left without refrigeration. They have used 2 different appliance repair companies, Adept and MJ Appliance, I've had one appearance from Adept Appliance. They were at my house 7 minutes, left and never called or came back. The second company came out twice, once to look at it and the second time to fix it. Neither company still couldn't fix the refrigerator. Ordering parts are not even an issue. MJ Appliance made 2 appointments recently and never showed up either time. Both times they gave me a 4 hour appointment window. The first appointment was a no-show. The next appointment, they called and said that "they are running a little late". After 8 hours, they never showed, again!
I have called First American Home Warranty Company more than 8 times only to get apologies. And stalls. Many of the people that answer their phones are not even in America. I find that ironic that a company that has American in their name, outsources their calls to foreign countries. It has been over 5 weeks and counting. They don't care about their customers and they hire inferior companies to represent them. The worst service ever! I rate this company a negative star.

FIRSTAM has always been good taking care of items at our home. The response time is less than optimal, and sometimes requires several calls to get work done in a timely manner.

The 1st company couldn't come out until the next week then you sent me another company who came out the next day and called for approval and you told them it was not covered then the supervisor had to call and then it was approved I think there needs to be a chain of communication between customers and you and contractors

Not pleased. I've had the misfortune of needing to file numerous claims on a property I bought. Overall the contractors First American hires are subpar. First project was for a leak in the shower. The contractor took 4 weeks to obtain and install a stock part (I looked online and could have gotten the part within two days). Second bad experience was with service to our failing AC. First contractor came twice and didn't repair the problem. Second contractor understood the problem and is working to complete the repair.

First American's response of contracting with suppliers that sometimes take longer doesn't make sense. Contractors purchase parts independent of First American.

First American has contracts with service companies. If customers are experiencing issues with a service provider, First American doesn't provide support to resolving issues. Customers are on their own to manage repairs and dispute service issues.

I just don鈥檛 understand why I have to come up With $1066.00 to replace a coil on my AC or you guys will pay me $355.00 for me to fix it myself, I think that鈥檚 a rip-off

Customer Service is good, but policy enforcement is terrible. You can't just keep plugging parts into not working machines and expect clients to be happy. At some point you have to make good on your replacement policy… or stop offering that false narrative.
