Flo n flop, who advertise heavily on Facebook and similar media sites, sell inflatable sofa type beds for use at beaches, festivals etc.
I ordered two for a combined cost of 拢110 and they arrived promptly. The 1st issue was that they are considerably less easy to inflate than their promotional videos suggest. The 2nd problem was that, once the first one was inflated, the clip that keeps the thing inflated broke as soon as it was sat on – the strap attaching the clip to the bed had detached.
I immediately got in touch with customer services who ignored my request for details as to how I could return the two items – which I stated were not fit for purpose – and, instead, patronisingly, sent me a link for a video explaining how an idiot might inflate, what is essentially two bags, correctly. They also asked me to send a picture of the failed clip. I did and they responded by saying that they had sent a replacement bed. After a week and a number of emails they finally emailed me an address to send the beds to. The address was in Portugal and they instructed me to mark the parcel as "sample for return". When I took the items to the post office I discovered that I would cost 拢49 in postage. I immediately emailed flonflop and asked for a uk address ( their website gave a Manchester address) I am still awaiting a response a full two days later.
