Their free tier VPS should be only billed by $1 setup fee but indeed is billed almost $100 per month. They also try charging the customer if they have card info on file. Tickets are charged by $5 which is unacceptable. They terminate the whole account if the charge is declined. Fortunately I used a prepaid mastercard so they cannot take away more money since the card was already empty.

Hello,

I signed up for a one month trial of the VPS Service. As Expected $5 thats good and all. After setting up a Windows Server I realised I didnt have the Storage so I terminated the server to start a new one under a smaller linux OS. Nope it wouldn't terminate. So I requested cancellation of my account. Now that it was worthlessly full of the wrong OS. Instead they added a new invoice charging $58! I haven't even used this current service for more then a week and they're adding a new invoice. Since i paid with PayPal i guess my account will be force terminated on unable to pay. If not my paypal will be deleted.

Don't buy from these people they scam and steal.

Never ever us this company, they will take your credit card and bill it 2 or 3 times each month, then when you cancel they keep charging, then we you cancel your card they keep billing and turning you into the credit collectors. They will never cancel your account, never ever.
Complete ripoffs, AI am not sure how they can do it.

We had a server hosted at Forta Trust. It kept crashing. We asked them to fix it. Then it crashed completely, so rather than rebuild it, we cancelled the service. Or so we thought! For more than six months, we have been receiving letters, threats and demands. We get threats from a legal firm that has no name, no person's name, no address and no fax number. You cannot call them, their customer portal does not work, Live Chat is never operational, their emails go unanswered. We have even posted them letters (via snail mail) — from AUSTRALIA — to get the message across that we do not want the server anymore. So after trying to do the right thing for so long, I now see that everyone has the same problem. So do yourself a favour and don't even get involved with these guys – the service is hopeless anyway and the only way out is to cancel your credit card completely (or fortunately in our case, it expired!).

Nop, Nop, Nop. Often we do not bother to ready when we sign up for something. They set the terms & condition for expiration of service only by phone call in person. Well, they meant not to pick up any calls. Are they covered to rip off customers with threatening messages? Not really, they are under bad business practice avoiding any calls. Just make sure leave proof of calls and email message(ticket) that you sent clear message of end service. In some review sites they are trying so hard to take down victim's complaints and you wouldn't find but removed contents. Do not pay the randsom..

Their servers are many times out of service. They charge an unauthorized late fee of $15 to every invoice if you get late, even if the invoice is for a monthly extra IP address which costs $1.50, they charge you an extra $15, total $16.50. They also charge you 9.65% taxes, and no other server provider does. Don't ever give them your credit card number to these crooks, you will have to cancel your credit card to stop them for charging you whatever amount they make up. Unfortunately I cannot upload documents here to prove what I am saying. When you want to cancel their service, they charge you an extra month as a penalty (they say you have to tell them 30 days before you cancel, also no other server provider has these ridiculous rules)

If you have been a victim of fraudulent billing and, in particular, subsequent attempts to extort you with threats of credit reprisals or other threats here are some things you can do:

You must make your victimization known. Immediately file a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3). They have the jurisdiction to investigate and prosecute international internet crime. Press your fraud case with your credit card company with the help of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. This agency holds a lot of clout. Also register a fraud case again the company itself, as the CFPB handles all financial matters including credit card fraud. You can also issue a fraud complaint at FBI.gov (completely anonymously if you like).

We signed up for a Basic Server that was supposed to cost us $220.94 on a quarterly basis. The Server was terrible – always down. Support nonexistent. The worst part of the experience, though, is that once Fortatrust had our credit card, they began to charge us – sometimes 2 days in a row for amounts above and beyond the $220.94. We're over $5000 that they have charged our credit card – all unauthorized! We've disputed with our credit card company, and they attempted to block any future charges, but FortaTrust changed their billing information and they have put through 3 more charges in the past 2 weeks to the tune of over $900! I just got off the phone with the credit card company, and it looks like this is going to be an ongoing process even if I change the credit card number. They will continue to charge under new iterations, and I will continue wasting my time disputing charges. Stay Far Far Away. We so regret the day we signed up with these crooks. Their behavior is downright fraudulent.

This is a super garbage company, you can't stop your account, they will find a variety of reasons to make you unable to terminate the account, to stop using their garbage service in you, they will not stop you to send the bill, even threatening letter, away from the garbage company. Warning!

I signed up for the "Free VPS" service and it is anything but free. I had to open a ticket at $5 USD to get them to unmount the installation ISO. I asked how else I can do it and this was apparently the only way. I decided against using them as my VPS provider so I tried to cancel the service using the web interface. While it says that my cancellation request was received I never received an email or correspondence from the company acknowledging the cancellation request. The so called "Free VPS" service also charges you hourly based on usage – usage that miraculously keeps increasing despite the fact that I have the VPS TURNED OFF! This has to be one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I realize the Free VPS service is a way for them to get customers but I can tell you that all they have successfully done is turned away a very vocal customer.

I opened an account with them as they are very cheap, and 4 months ago I requested them to close my account. Lady picks up the phone after 3 hrs of call forwarding and then she did not close my account but blocked my from using it. Now every month they send invoices and try to get money from me, I am trying to call them from last 2 months regularly but no one picks up the phone.

And as per their rules they close account only via personal call. so if no one picks up the phone your account will never close and they will bill you for ever.

So basically you are screwed.
Please do not make these people screw your life….

Just reading these unbelievable reviews I did some research and I found Forta and Server pronto is same company or they are very much related.
It seems forta is made to scam for easy money. Forta is under several lawsuit not paying their liabilities in FL court. They are out there to just ruin ppl lives. Does anyone has more details how their fake threat of collection? or anyone is consulting lawyer on this matter and how it went or processing. My curiosity urged me to call their number and but never get through day or night. How is this company still exist? I never went searching for company profile before but I better before I sign up for any service.

BE AWARE: This company will rip you off.

I signed up for their service about 6 months ago to host a VOIP received an email to tell me the server was active they did not give me any details allowing me to use it, nor was there any details in my user control panel. After attempts to get in touch with their support they gave me the details to use the server. When I attempted to use it however it was down. After trying to get in touch with them again and failing on multiple attempts I decided to cancel my account.

After contacting them re that they got in touch with them telling me I would have to call a US phone number. This was going to cost me over 70 cents per minute, and given what i had seen so far I expected it to cost me over $100 just to call them to try and cancel. So annoyingly my only option was to keep paying $4 a month.

A few weeks ago my Debt card was cancelled by my bank after someone used my card to make a payment that was never authorized.

While I cant prove it, I think that this group may have been responsible for this as they are one of only 5 people who have ever had my card details. Other company's include CCP Games hf. Microsoft Corp. and the chances of them being responsible would be next to nill.

Once my new card arrived I spent a day going around updating payment methods including with ccp, Microsoft paypal etc. but forgot this group. Two days ago I got my first response from them re my account other than the typical, "every thing is working" even when it wasn't response. Their email wasn't to tell me that the attempt to bill me had failed could I please fix it, it was you are a delinquent fraudster and we are taking you to court. Better yet they were nice enough to give me 30 days to reconcile my account and if I do they might forgive me and drop any legal action, but they managed to bill me over $300 of my local currency in late fees before telling me that I had an overdue account. In an attempt to get in touch with them about how I can go about reconciliation I have sent them many mails through their website and haven't got a single response.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS GROUP – IF I COULD RATE THEM WITH 0 STARS I WOULD

They charged for their service twice 368 US$ instead of only once. After I requested a refund, instead of the refund they charged 368 US$ a third time. They did not reply to any of my numerous refund request since mid October 2014, and did not make any refund as per today (Dec.08,2014)

Worse company ever. I was for over 1 year a customer with a dedicated server. Now server was down for over 1 month without any movement from their support. The Phone Number they provide is out of service or disconnected. Now I have 3 unpaid bills in my account from January February and March 2014, but I have evidence that it its paid.
!! Stay away from this Company !!

I was a very happy ServerPronto customer for several years before getting moved to Fortatrust. Trust – what a load of sh*t! This year they have billed me 13 times (4 times in July) for what is a quarterly service! No answers to tickets, no answers to calls. Eventually, I had to cancel my card or keep getting fraudulently charged! Then they have the gall to take down my server when I basically have 2 years worth of service PRE-PAID! WTF?!?

Bottom Line: STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS! If anyone gets a class action going against these frauds, I'll be in line!

THIS IS A SCAM! One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a hosting company! I cancelled the account — through their process — after 12 hours. There was no contact from the company, they triple billed my CC and after cancelling the account (again after 12 hours) it still took another 12 hours before I got a welcome email and login instructions. I had to put a block on my CC cause they still continue to try and charge it and the only communication I have from the company is from threats from a Telio, Rodrigo although the signature in his email is someone else Octavio Diaz. They dont answer their phones or respond to emails. They are only there to collect the signup fee and provide no service.

Please contact me if you've been ripped off by this company. They have stolen over $2k from our company. We located a lawyer that would take the case over there, and we're gathering customers of theirs. Our company is ace poker solutions. Just contact our support department and it will be forwarded to the appropriate people.

I signed up on 3-Oct-2013 and paid using PayPal. I then realized after reading all the bad reviews that it was not such a good idea.
I contacted them via their support web form to cancel as I was within my official "Money Back Guarantee" period anyway. I thought it would be a quick resolution and they would refund my PayPal account on the next cycle.
They confirmed my Ticket ID for cancellation but NEVER RESPONDED to it.
After several attempts via email (I live in Australia and the time zones are not convenient for me to call them), I contacted PayPal and lodged an official complaint.
PayPal refunded my payment almost immediately.
But still no response from FortaTrust company.
Now I just received an invoice for a year service to pay!
I have responded with all the previous details telling them what company keep a service running when a payment was cancelled and an official cancellation was made to them within the agreed Terms of Services and guarantees?
This is definitely the worse company I have ever dealt with and if you intend on getting a VPS, even if their prices are attractive, beware of the possible trap you might fall into.
Unfortunately, I can't rate them with ZERO STAR… so here comes the minimum ONE STAR.

This is just about the worst company I've ever dealt with. Originally I signed up for a server when they were under the name "ServerPronto" but then they changed my account over to the new company "FortaTrust".

The network quality was average at best but that wasn't be problem.

The problems started when I tried to cancel. It's completely impossible! They keep charging your credit card even after numerous requests to cancel the account, they don't allow cancellation via the billing area (or even let you change your billing details to remove yourself from their system). Luckily my card expired so they couldn't carry on charging it, but now they are sending legal threats. After searching to see if other people got this, it seems to be a scare tactic that they use to get more payments. I did fall for it once and paid with PayPal, thinking they they'd then cancel my account once it was settled. No such luck and they didn't even reactivate the server.

I'd seriously suggest you avoid doing business with this company at all costs, it may seem ok while you're using the service but if you ever want to cancel then good luck with that!

If I could give 0 stars then I would, these aren't even good enough for 1!

The VPS was not very fast, but acceptable to put Apache on it. But, I had some issues with my PayPal. The costs of the service were $7.50 per month, but the current bill suddenly $25 (I ordered the server in March, so thats 3 months of a non-working server).

I purchased hosting, then the company was bought by Fortatrust. The started charging my card at extra times (6 times in a year when it was supposed to be quarterly). All tickets were closed without resolution, so I decided to cancel my account.

Turns out they removed the cancellation functionality from their site, then force you to call them in a couple of hour window to cancel… however you can't actually contact them. I tried over 20 times during their official times on every phone number and skype number they offered over a period of three weeks. Didn't get a single connected call.

After having to cancel my credit card to stop the transactions, I got threatened to be sent to equifax collections, will see how that goes.
