Company are selling reconditioned appliances on an ebay store and advertising them as being brand new. We received a supposedly new microwave from the 11 they had in stock to find that according to the manufacturer the item was originally purchased in 2016 and reconditioned so did not have a warranty despite written confirmation from the sellers that it had. We would not have been aware of this had the item not had a PAT sticker stating it was tested in 2017 on it which the seller obviously missed. This would indicate that the "NEW" item had been in use for at least 12 months in a business environment before developing some fault and returned to the manufacturer under warranty.

The seller agreed to a return without question so obviously was aware that the items are not new or have a warranty. Was advised item would be collected but after raising a complaint with ebay we were told by the supplier that there could now be an 8 day delay due to our raising a case with ebay but would collect as normal if we closed the case against them.

Their response to our advising that the items were not NEW with a warranty as stated " foryoudirect: hi, i have researched the item for you , quite surprisingly the cheapest i can find to the exact same
is 拢249 amazon,. seems a lot to pay more than double, just in case there is a breakdown"

Despite being aware that the items are not new and do not have a warranty and having been informed that their advertising is therefore fraudulent they are continuing to advertise the Hotpoint-Jet-Cuisine-Combi-Microwave-30-Litre-Black as brand new items.
