I pay $175/mo for the fastest and unlimited wifi. I purchased the top end Linksys router. Whether I鈥檓 gaming on line or watching Sun. Night football like am right now, the most you can hope is glitchy performance. The game has been stalled now for two minutes. Rarely in life, do I feel cheated for have spent the extra on the best available in anything. But that鈥檚 how I feel with GCI. What a bucket of crap this is. And they have no real competition, so they go on the way they are. Lousy. The worst.

Every e-mail domain they've setup for us has had issues when setting up e-mail accounts. Support for this has been slow and painful to get any issues fixed. The latest one I've been trying to get fixed for two weeks, the server certificate is not trusted. Gary says there is not a problem, however my e-mails do not work with the settings they have provided. (I am familiar with setting up Outlook e-mail accounts, so it's not that I don't know what I'm doing.) They keep closing the ticket saying that the issue has been resolved. Avoid GCI because if you have a problem they can't be bothered to fix it, use a large mainstream hosting company like Heart Internet that just works and is cheaper.

GCI's help desk were very patient with a complete luddite like me, talked me through what I needed to do and called me to make sure I was ok sorting new settings and records. Alessia was as helpful as I could hope for – great customer service as far as I'm concerned !

Our IT service compnay, Bluechip were acquired by GCI and it's been a race to the bottom ever since. We did an office move in December and it was utter chaos from the begining. Three separate project managers who weren'tr aware of each other, things left to the last minute and some things not actually done. Incorrect kit suppled that wouldn't work in our envrionment was supplied. I have never come acrosss such incompetence and complacency and lack urgencey in solving problems in my career. DO NOT TOUCH WITH A BARGE POLE, THEY WILL SCREW YOU!!!!

Terrible communicators, take no ownership of issues, poor services, service desk with little to no knowledge of the services, consistently failing to meet their own SLA's. Stay Away!
