Downside are, stops are not removable once entered if the condition order is opened, even if they cannot fullfill it, for hours…..
you try and call up (as it says call to discuss) and they just don't answer…
Pretty crucial for trading….

I have been trying to create an account for over a week now due to their horrible, terrible system of creating an account, which has blocked me and will not let me proceed due to accidentally opening an account on a different funnel (the humanity!).
Trying to create an account, through the right funnel, results in my account being blocked and unable to proceed.
During this time, I have received only one response to my initial email.
I have tried calling them, no one picks up.
I have sent my documents, and have received no response at all.
In a time where the market is volatile, this kind of delay in getting back to new clients who want to open an account and trade the markets is unacceptable.
I have sent 4 or 5 emails in the course of a week, and I have received only one response on my first email. This does not fill me with confidence *at all*.
What if my inquiry was about my funds? Or a trade that was executed incorrectly? Would I have to wait over a week (and potentially more) to warrant a response?
It is sad that I have to do this in order to get some attention in regards to my inquiry, and I doubt this will even work.
Do not register an account with this company if you wish to do some trades within a few days, or a week even. You're likely better off elsewhere, where the system won't block you from creating an account just for using the wrong link (?).

Then tried to read out to their support via Facebook and even though I typed in IG Markets UK I am being forwarded to IG Espana because they have geotracking in place, meaning you automatically get to the wrong site with no means on communication.
A very very bad start. Support seems to be non-existant.
After reading the other bad stories on several review sites, I am done with them. I will tell them to cancel my application and destroy my file.

Spent more than 1.5 hours on hold, during euro open, to their "24 hour dealing desk", never had a call answered.
No response to emails either. Will update with the outcome of the ASIC investigation when complete and provide details to this site to verify.

Absolutely criminals and thugs. Absolutely dodgy broker and rigged platform. The positions get frozen especially during the first one hour of trading session and when you are winning a trade. You have to call the customer care to close or cancel the position. They also create fake spikes up and down to rip-off retail traders. Absolutely pathetic. Please stay away. I have proofs and I will also report it to ASICS about these dodgy practices.

A lot of people, like me, moved scattered ISA holdings to IG Markets from other online broking operations – like Lloyds, for example – who were continually upping their custodial or "non-activity" fees and gobbling up dividend income in the process. In reality these fees are a charge for nothing more than holding data on a computer system. Even correspondence is paperless. By recognizing them as the irritant they are, IG Markets did themselves a big favour, except that – surprise, surprise – the terms changed almost as soon as the new customers had arrived. Suddenly "inactivity fees" were right back again, only laughably and cynically rebranded as "custodial fees", the management no doubt calculating that the new arrivals would not want to go through the whole bother and expense of moving their ISA portfolios again out of pique.
Even worse, clients were told they could avoid the quarterly fees, provided they held positions worth 拢15,000 – without clearly explaining that this waiver would only apply if customers changed their accounts to ones that were "managed" (or in the Orwellian IG jargon "smart") – with the inevitable fees.
We have seen this kind of chiseling, shoddy behaviour from players in other parts of the financial world, but operations that behave in this overtly cyncial way are generally to be avoided in my experience.
My advice to competitors is to offer what IG Markets promised in the first place, and watch the business roll in. Pique (see above) in financial services is a lot more powerful these days than it used to be.

I agree with the comments below in that how can anyone trust that they would deal with a real issue with any priority and basic ability. I think mentally deranged chimps could do a better job.
I opened an account with a competitor around the same time and they actually called me and made sure everything was setup correctly and I was happy鈥? I guess there are no bananas in their break room.
