I been refunded tax fees. I guess i was lucky compared to other customers.

OLD REVIEW
My last order is a final goodbye to iherb. This morning i received a message asking to pay 50% duties on purchased cosmetics. There was a notice about duties at checkout but nobody warns me that i have to pay 50%. It should be indicated that items over a certain amount can be subject to 50% duties. Otherwise, bad surprises are unavoidable.

Customer service is terrible. They said they have free delivery after $27 . I ordered till there and when I ordered, I was given free delivery. When order went through, I was charged $10 cause they switched to another carrier. They said would refund but never answered me in chats. The customer service didn't even asked for my order number and just insist I was wrong. The customer service chat is simply useless. They don't care. And I ordered many times from them before.

Usually dependable but. I have had problems with orders and they do not respond to customers very well. I have had orders not show up and they don't seem to care.

I ordered and used UPS as the delivery company to Canada. Border charges was put on and asked for at the door. I went to Black dog, the delivery company for UPS packages in town and they didn鈥檛 have a credit/debit machine. They wanted me give me all my credit card information to UPS, on a piece of paper and I refused. Who in their right mind gives their full credit card details on a piece of paper to anyone???
It could have ended here but now I had to deal with IHERB customer service for the first time. To make a long story short, and I have emails to prove what I am saying, they pushed for me to go back and pay for the package, totally ignoring why I couldn鈥檛 do it and telling me that I will only get 20 % back of my total order of $225 CAD if the package was returned. In a second email they told me that I would not get any refund if the package was sent back, due to shipping and restocking fees. They urged me again to go back and pay for the package and when I said that I would not buy from them ever again, they let me know that they would give me a discount on my next order with them. What kind of company is this???
I have not received what I ordered and NO refund. Like others have said as well, BE AWARE, DO NOT order from IHerb.

unlike many of UK customers here cheated for the first time by American company (gosh cant wait for the Brexit LOL) I already knew what/who I was dealing with. I had my experience with this nasty type of business (esp popular with supplement industry) when American company don't give a damn about customers but only exploiting legal loopholes.
Of course they are not gonna tell you about extra tax! And sometimes they even are gonna "help you" to get extra taxed when you took all precautions to avoid it 🙂
Anyway, I know already (lesson hard learned) that orders under 拢15 should be fine. And orders with over 拢15 in total but under 拢15 excluding shipping costs also MUST be fine by law. But some of those companies just on purpose declare all costs in total (once I asked them specifically not to and they promised that they won't) – that often leaves them with customers money (they do not refund!) while goods being returned to them as customers refuse to pay extra.
BTW use only PayPal and only if you know you're gonna reclaim your money back! And if you are asked for an expected extra tax to pay – just don't take it and claim for the "item not delivered" – hence refund! That's the only way to teach them a lesson!
Anyway, knowing all that I checked on iHerb the price of certain supplement. Together with delivery it still was under 拢15. And there was PayPal payment accepted. BTW in UK this product costs around 拢22-26.
OK, so I tried to order. They asked for all of my details (which I'm usually not too happy with … and that's why I never open an account before shipping cost calculated). As soon as I gave them all my details – the greedy SCAMers changed the delivery cost right away making it at around 拢18!!!
Needles to say – cancelled my order straight away. And wrote them an email with request to close/delete my account. Apparently there's no way to do so from the website – Americans are so not used to freedom, they don't even anticipate the option of retracting you own personal data.
Now I'm expecting all sorts of SPAM to my email box … as usually US companies steal you data and sell it to others.
Of course they don't need to know that it's just rubbish email address specifically created for dodgy companies like that 🙂

Made an order to Iherb and it got canceled? I made the purchase and was never sent tracking information when I was told I would be. I contacted their chat services and was told that my order was canceled because my account was "Inactive" I asked her to explain further and she simply said that I was not active enough? I never even made an account, I used guest check out as this was my first purchase from them. She then said they could contact the verification team to look further and at that point I just told her there is not point. I do not understand why they would cancel my order out of nowhere and not tell me???

Another company with Useless Customer Service.
Have ordered from iHerb many times. Got an email to say my order was delivered but I did not receive it, so I contacted customer service.
They have been absolutely useless. Cannot even understand basic English. "please wait 21 days for your order to arrive etc……"but you said my order was delivered. It wasn't….And I need a refund for something not received.
So sick of tearing my hair out due to hopeless companies like this!!!

My experience with iherb has been great. Great choice of products, alot cheaper than retail and delivers everywhere. I've been ordering from iherb for past 3 years since I've been moving alot (UK, South Korea, France, UAE, Malaysia etc) and they delivers to all these places. Website was charging v high postage on checkout because a some tea bags were listed as weighing several kilograms and as such didn鈥檛 qualify for the cheaper 鈥榣ocal delivery鈥?(haha) option. Contacted customer services and spend forever explaining all this, they asked for all item numbers etc and said they鈥檇 get back to me and give me a 5euro discount code – they did neither… ordered in the end and got hit with a 30 Euro customs bill when the delivery was due to arrive… even though the website is iherb.fr it is not a French company it鈥檚 American and ships internationally so don鈥檛 be surprised if you get stung with customs charges. I emailed customer services again to ask why they had listed my items as personal care items as I believe tea, being food, shouldn鈥檛 even have flagged up import tax but surprise surprise – no reply. Horrible company. I won鈥檛 use them again.

I applied for a dock supervisor position and went on 3 interviews. I received an offer letter by email from their recruiting team and I accepted it. I then quit my job to start at iHerb, and they rescinded their offer to me after I accepted and signed the letter. I passed the background check and drug test. They gave me no reason why they did this, and I cant go back to my old job since the two weeks are up. These people pulled the rug out from under me. Reprehensible.

Horrible experience stay as far as possible away of this company.

They shipped an order and the courier service they deal with has the worst rating in the history of courier. (Poor google rating)

I have a concierge desk at my building that picks up all packages. However, the courier made false claim that they attempted a failed delivery. Ofcourse a lie and scam so they save money and push you to pick the package up instead.

iHerb started asking me to pickup the package which I refused. They kept sending me emails that I must pickup the package and I told them that they need to fix their own mistake and issue a refund.

Don鈥檛 be fooled by this company they aren鈥檛 worth dealing with.

Considering issue a dispute of the charge with my credit card. You don鈥檛 want to be in this place and avoid dealing with them at all cost

I've had the same experience with this company. I ordered a few products; my package went missing, and meanwhile they claim that due to import costs that when I refuse the package (IF it arrives), the cost of refusal will equal the cost of my order. ($75.00) NOTHING I ordered had to be imported. I only ordered from them because they carried zinc in 50mg capsules (NOW brand – made in America), something I haven't found at my local store. I can make do with 30mg and wish to God I had never ordered from them. They have lied to me, fed me a ton of BS, and only one supervisor told me it's no problem to refuse the package for a full refund. It is only that one supervisor that expedited my refund, the only honest and classy person I've found at iHerb! He is the reason I just added a star.
What strikes me as odd is I would NEVER order anything edible from another country. NOW is from America; if the salmon treats and pet probiotics did not come from America, they're trash to me. No one will ever forget the pet food scares (deaths) with China some years ago. And while American made pet food (See Association for Truth About Pet Food) is also not trustworthy, at least we can trace the product to a much higher degree than from another country.
In closing, if import costs (what a load!) are the typical customer service response to returning a product, I'd say don't shop there. Their products are not cheaper than the store prices. So what import costs? I don't like being lied to and told customer non-service that if they're going to lie to do it well.
But I am grateful for the kind supervisor who finally ended this nightmare for me and pushed my refund through.

I don't understand the bad ratings on iherb and skeptical that it might be spam. I am an immune impaired person, and I get all my supplements from iherb. These supplements are not cheap at retail that I stumbled on this company. Superb products, quick delivery and value for money. I am a customer for past 5 years and I noticed that their service has improved lately, maybe due to fierce competition. For 10% discount off purchase, use voucher NAJ3457 during checkout.

Terrible company
They used to be ok, but with the new owners, they will cheat and steal from you if they could get away with it.
Their customer service is nonexistent, they don't even have a phone number anymore, that should tell you all you need to know.
If you are unsatisfied in any way, you will NOT be compensated, even of you had a defective item, or missing item or any other reason. You will also be incurred additional charges from their shipping partners that are not disclosed during checkout.

ever had any issues ordering from iHerb in the past but my simple order of a sleep supplement and some pet breath odorisor on 18 JUNE has not arrived so I feel as if I should worn other international customers to be wary. My order has been stopped in customs since 22nd June and all attempts (by me) to get my parcel have been met with multiple unhelpful customer service staff who have not done anything to apologise for this inconvenience. I have requested my order to be cancelled which they refuse to do since it has 鈥渁lready been sent鈥?and will not even refund my shipping even though it is now weeks past the receiving date specified with inability to provide any further information. Avoid this shady website.

Great Shop, ordering since 5 years or more. The site clearly says they are located in US and that u have to beware of possible customs fees for your county. Why incompetent phuckers have to rate 1 star here because they dont understand how customs work is beyond me. Too many d umb monkeys around.

I spent 拢28.79 and I thought this was good value, until I had to pay nearly 50% more of 13.76 which was 拢8 royal Mail handling fee and 5.76 VAT.
Iherb said now shipping to Uk whch seemed to imply no import duties.
so what seems good value is definiotely not.

Website did not indicate upon check-out that the customer would have to pay extra for shipping. I only found out when I received an email from DHL that I have to pay import taxes otherwise, my delivery would be delayed. So, I literally paid more for the shipping than for the products I ordered.

I really love iherb. I shop with them all the time (probably 10+ orders per year). Their prices are so competitive and my orders always come so quickly. Have never had any problems so far and I like that you get loyalty credit with each purchase.

I placed two separate orders shipping to separate addresses. I made the orders separate to lessen any confusion. They sent one email order confirmation. I inquired several times about the 2nd order with NO response. 1st order was to ship in 2 days. Paid extra for 2nd order to expedite. They started by claiming they couldn't get the money & wanted me to give them my shipping & payment info again, only in an email. So I did. The money had been pending long past the original ship/delivery dates. Money for both orders finally posted (my card co said it was iHerb's fault). More emails back & forth. These people obviously cannot read English, or simply weren't reading them, or something funny going on. They implied both orders were finally being shipped by using the plural word, "orders", but would never send an order #. Then they claimed I put a different email for the 2nd order, but yet still say they "can't find my 2nd order". Over 12 emails later & my threat to tell the owners about this, they acknowledge the 2nd order but refused to give me any evidence of the original order info even though all info, including payment info was mine & proven to be mine. They "refused"to give me a phone call. The only number I could find lead me thru a maze of instructions & at the end said there was no one to talk to, leave a V.M. & when the greeting for voice mail came on it said, "There's no one to leave a voice mail to". This was all most frustrating. Orders were finally received though over twice the original delivery times. At times it felt like the 'Twilight Zone'! Almost every time I did get an email it was from a different person. It's not worth the absolute aggravation, frustration & inability to communicate with these folks & wondering what the heck they are doing. I was nice, I tried. In the end I did say I was going to tell my experience. I can't recommend this company.

cheaters and thieves!!
i order vitamins,went to completely wrong adress,someone sign by my name,and stole it,no one want to help,all what i hear is wait,we need to sortit out with dhl,its not my problem what some people are dump,cant deliver where supouse to deliver,and iherb dont really help,i dont care about 20 pounds,but will never will order again from this shop,be aware guys!!!
i open a case per paypal aswell,so we will see now
