This is my first ice skating rink. I roller skated before but, I never ice skated, until today (January 4th, 2020). I have fallen a few times, even on my butt. Though, it was worth it. I should come back here every winter for this winter on as a new Christmas tradition, even if it has to be after Christmas.

This is a nice little stop to add a bit of holiday cheer this season.
Our first stop was over to Stoneware where we got to try numerous tasty options and then decided to purchase dips and bread mix to add to our holiday party appetizers. Everything was very reasonably priced in my opinion and we even got an additional discount for being with the event!
Next stop was the Cafe snack stand where we ordered the cafe coney. This was a nice quick snack of chili, pimento cheese and peppers. Definitely would stop by again for another.
My kiddo was desperate to hit the ice, so we rented our skates and began our next adventure. The rink was very crowded with people. Many people were standing in some place to chat, take photos, etc. Which made for a difficult experience of trying to maneuver a wobbly child through the crowd to skate. As you expect with a crowd that size, kids were running into people, tripping others up, but the overall experience did not stop us from enjoying our time together skating.
After our feet were too sore to carry on we headed over to our last stop at the laser show.
While some aspects of the show were a little too much for me, it played to everything my kiddo wanted. From breakdancing to sharks with lasers on their heads, my 7 year old sang, laughed and loved it.
To snack and try all of the events with 3 people we spent over $60 which was a bit steep. But it was something new and brought some awesome new memories for our little family.

This is the first year for this winter wonderland and I hope it is the start of a long tradition!

It is located near Old Forrester's Paristown Hall, a new live event venue. There is some designated parking next to the event but also ample street parking on surrounding streets.

We visited on a weekend night, which was fairly busy but not miserably so. They were projecting holiday movies on a large screen overlooking the ice skating rink. It really created an awesome ambiance.

Across from the ice skating rink is a large dome with a choreographed laser light show inside. Pop on some wireless headphones and you are totally immersed in the show. Family friendly with enough good tunes and subtle humor to make it enjoyable for all ages. Although not positive, I believe there is a discount if you want to do both ice skating and the laser dome.

Near the ice skating rink is a snack bar with hot dogs, grilled cheese, macarons, alcoholic drinks, hot drinks, etc. They have an awesome spread of toppings to include on your hot chocolate.

We weren't prepared to ice skate but plan to go back next week!
