However, the cabinets were not ready on July 21st. Jerry said that a mistake had been made with another order that was painted the wrong color which, once more, had caused issues with production. Again, I had to cancel the delivery of my appliances and postpone the appointment with the remodeling company until August 4th, when, according to Jerry, "for sure, my cabinets "would be ready." None-the-less, once again, the cabinets were not ready, and I had to halt remodeling plans. Jerry Tapia was apologetic, and he acknowledged that my husband and I had been more than flexible and understanding for all the mishaps with respect to production. He said that, after speaking with his manager, the company would issue a 10% discount for the "stone" of the quartz order. He also said that he would send an email with the new invoice that would reflect the deduction from the balance for the quarts order, and, once again, he said that my cabinets would be ready for pickup by August 11th, but then, Jerry never sent the invoice nor further contacted me to provide a status on the order. On August 12th, I called Factory Plaza, and my call was answered by program manager Tom Z. who said that my order was almost finished and transferred my call to foreman Ted, who I subsequently met in person when he delivered my cabinets later that day.
I am giving a low rating to Factory Plaza because Tom, the program manager, seemed not to care about all the stress and inconvenience caused by canceling the delivery of my appliances and my appointment with the construction crew. In addition, Tom refused to acknowledge and honor the 10% discount that Jerry had promised a week before. He dismissed this issue by saying that "Jerry is a new employee", (which I do not believe, a new employee will never make such an offer without consulting with a manger). Then, Tom had the audacity to say that Jerry already had given us the discount by quoting the square foot price as $55.00 and not $65.00, which he claimed was the regular price. So, I asked Tom: "Are you saying that Jerry gave us the discount ahead of time on July 3rd for the mishaps that had not yet occurred, 51 days in advance!" (He greatly insulted my intelligence.) Tom did not offer any explanation for this, nor did he take into account my good faith when I told him that the company could keep the standard handles and use them for another order, as I had already purchased my own set of hardware.
Buyers beware! Factory Plaza is pure greed, and does not have consideration for clients.
Because for all these delays, the original remodeling company was no longer available, and now I have had to work with a construction crew which will be doing the installation in stages as a result of other commitments. Today, August 18, my husband spoke with Tom. He said August 24 is the earliest appointment to take measurement for the stone. The instantiation could be done within 7 to 12 days, which means the end result will be completed the first or second week of September. In the meantime, buyers beware!!!! I will keep you posted.

I then thought I would double-check my measures and go back into the showroom as I had better service in person. I checked my measurements and put down the Cabinets I needed. Before going, I asked if I need an appointment, and they said no if I was going to the showroom. I show up At 4:10 pm, And they Close at 6 pm. They had two design people and three office people and people from operations. I waited and waited, and the lady by reception didn't update me on time I would need to wait. An hour goes past, and I keep waiting and come at 5:45. I am finally helped and work with Natalia. We put in my cabinets, and when we went over them, I didn't know I needed a 3-inch filler on the corners of the cabinets, so I needed to go back and adjust.
I got things adjusted and marked out on the grid paper she preferred with the cabinets marked and sent back. I get no response from Natalia. I keep calling and emailing with poor response or no response.
Finally, on Thursday, I get the estimate, and I have questions about the estimate, so I call and leave a message and email. I get no response. I then call Friday and am told she is not in until 3 pm. I call at 3:20, and she is out in the back. They close at 6 and still no response. It is March 14 today, and I sit here and think I like the cabinets, but with such poor service, do I proceed with ordering or go back to the drawing board.
Beyond frustrated with the poor service. And an amusing thing is they have an award for No complaints from 2019.

That's just what Factory Plaza "can" do, but of course it is as important "how" they do it. The front staff was always welcoming, and they offered to answer any questions you may have or show you around. What I always appreciate is if you just want to look for yourself, they are more than happy to let you do so. Once we settled on a quartz countertop, they purchasing agreement and everything was easy to understand and complete.
Finally, I was incredibly impressed with the measuring and installation crew we had. They were very communicative and respectful. I think our original crew that was scheduled had to back out relatively last minute, but Factory Plaza organized a new crew to come out. They new they were running behind and gave us some advanced noticed. As for the actual installation process, I was impressed by how quickly they knocked it out (and with precision).
Overall, we're very happy with the decision to use Factory Plaza. Frankly their prices were better, and I was worried we sacrificed good service. I was very mistaken. When we're ready to update the bathrooms, I definitely know where to start looking first.
