FairShake

My billing cycle with ATT for wireless service was from the 24th of the month to the 23rd. I changed providers on the 29th. ATT wanted to charge me for a full month. I divided my bill by 31 and sent them payment for 6 days worth. They wanted it all and sent my bill to collection. Fairshake sent them a letter of arbitration and ATT settled and gave me credit for the remaining $108 they had said I owed. Not a whole lot of money but it was a principle thing. It was worth the 20% of the credit that I paid Fairshake to resolve the issue.

Fair shake was able to negotiate a settlement offer with Verizon Wirless for wrongful termination of my services which led to the subsequent loss of my cloud storage containing almost a decade of media and photos I can not replace and lost for good.

My story is to long to tell in full but it was against att. They charged me $750 for a second phone on a buy one get one free deal. I tried talking to the business office over the phone and got no where. I went to 2 different att phone stores and couldnt get it resolved either. Managers would not call me back when they said they would and i finally gave up trying to deal with them and got fairshake involved. They were great!! Checked with me on how things were progressing and were very helpful. I received my full refund back of $750 but did have to wait 2 months before att would respond. Clarrissa was great and very professional. I convinced i would have lost the whole $750 if not for her help. Had to pay fairshake $85.50 which was well worth it in getting $750 back. Thanks clarissa and fairshake! Im very satisfied

First and foremost, I thank Fairshake for helping me in the very beginning. However, they have shown their true colors.

Here is a list of things that need to be addressed:

1.) They reassigned my case to some guy Rafael without even giving me prior notice. This guy basically decided to close my July 9th claim. I told him that the old Cox claim was already settled. The new July 9th claim is different than the previous Cox claim. Rafael and Veronica are assuming that the July 9th claim is the same as the previous Cox claim. The previous Cox claim had nothing to do with my online account being breached.

2.) It takes them a long time to respond to your messages.

3.) They need to offer legal advice for anyone that needs it. Because I think some people may be hesitant to spend 200 dollars.

4.) This guy named Alex barks out orders to tell me what I should be doing. He claims that having a different email address is why Veronica is not responding back to my messages. I'm not understanding how that has anything to do with my July 9th claim being closed out.

5.) The last thing that I find very disturbing: Verizon had informed me a few days ago that they haven't received any legal demand letter. That would mean the June 10th legal demand letter was never sent out. I have reason to believe that the Cox legal demand letter from July 9th was never sent out either. I had received a text message from Rafael on July 24th that we couldn't keep two claims open.

My advice is to not high expectations with Fairshake. They are a very deceptive company that is not going to be on everyone's side. I'm going to report this deceptive company to the FTC. Disclaimer: If anyone from Fairshake decides to respond to my post, they will be ignored. I have decided to not work with Fairshake going forward.

When I attempted to get a refund from PayPal on my own I made zero progress but as soon as Fairshake stepped in, PayPal refuned my purchase in full and I also got to keep the defected product although it's no use. Due to Fairshake's excellent service and quality of work and professionalism, I can count this as a victory against PayPal.
Thanks Fairshake

They helped me get my money back from a large telecom company. I thought that this money was gone forever and had given up with the telecom's customer service. The FairShake process is easy. It did take several months to receive my refund. I urge people with disputes to try FairShake.

they certainly did help, and would get 5 stars except that I think the %20 fee is a little high…%10 would be more reasonable. I think next time I might just try taking Paypal to small claims court on my own.

I cancelled the Comcast Business account within 30 days of signing new contract due to no business no income during the Covid-19 pandemic. Comcast Business Representative wanted me to pay for the cancellation fee of $4,000.00 before they will cancel my services even though the new contract allow consumers to cancel within 30 days.
I reached out and contacted FairShare. FairShake Representative immediately took down all information. She also informed me that FairShake is sending out the letter within a week.
Within a couple of weeks, a Consumer Representative from Comcast Business Corporate Escalation Unit emailed and called me.
He resolved the case by cancel my Comcast Business as per the contract within 30 days.
Thank you for FairShake quick response to my matter. It resolved with 100% satifaction.
FairShake and all Staff,
Thank you,
David Wong

FairShake was really great a true God sent!!
Without them and their quick professional help, I truly believe I would still be fighting/waiting for Comcast to refund my money.

I highly recommend FairShake to anyone who needs help with a financial dispute. I give them a FIVE star rating but actually they deserve TEN gold stars for resolving my dispute with Comcast in two weeks.
(Comcast jerked me around for six months with no end in sight before FairShake helped me).

I found Fair Shake, or actually they found me, when I was trying to leave a a comment about the Metro cell phone provider. I had pretty bad experience with them. They treated me horribly when I brought back a one day old phone that was having problems. She said, while rolling her eyes "you have to contact you insurance provider". But I knew what that meant… I would receive a refurbished phone. Well Fair Shake saw my review and asked if I wanted their help and I said yes. Whatever they did, a big wig from Metro called and he asked me to explain in my words what happened and how he could resolve the issue. I didn't receive what I really wanted but I did receive a $200 credit to go towards my future phone bills. Fair Shake is an amazing company. They truly are and if you have any type of problem with a big company, I would reach out for their help. Cameron thank you for everything you did for me.

I was at the end with AT&T coming to any sort of resolution with a billing dispute where they had overcharged me about $2,000. Despite escalation and evidence of the overcharge, they were only willing to pay me $200 of what they owed me. I found Fairshake on line, and they were able to quickly resolve the issue and recover my money from AT&T. It was easy and the communication from Fairshake was clear and concise, and accurate.

The amount of bad reviews here kinda blows my mind, and is kind of indicative of how little most people know about the legal system. All FairShake really does Is provides an easy place for consumers to pursue the legal mechanisms available though their contracts with some notable companies. They know what clauses are typical for each industry, and as such have largely automated a clerical process that can be overwhelming for some consumers.

My case was with Comcast, which was the company that the Wall Street Journal article about FairShake focused on. Comcast actually lobbied Congress a few years back to try and argue that they were right to strongarm consumers into signing contracts preventing them from suing Comcast because arbitration was a sufficient legal safeguard. This, in my opinion, is incredibly stupid because arbitration typically costs several hundred dollars, and as the WSJ article points out, the average settlement with Comcast is less than $700.

Comcast was literally betting on consumers giving up on getting their money back through a bunch of red tape. FairShake is a company that helps consumers call their bluff.

I only contacted FairShake after a dozen or so failed attempts to contact Comcast. I simply told FairShake what I was trying to tell Comcast. FairShake threatened arbitration, and in the interest of avoiding arbitration they refunded me the $184 I was asking for, and even in looking deeper into my previous account the realized they had made a mistake on that account as well, refunding me a total of $270. This all happened without having to go to arbitration, and without me having to spend hours scouring my Comcast contract to see what legal rights I had as a consumer.

This was well worth the $20 I ended up paying to FairShake.

This company tries to help you deal with disputes with other companies, but whether or not it鈥檚 worthwhile seems to depend on just how scammy a company you鈥檙e dealing with. People seem to have good luck using FairShake to help with disputes with phone companies, but AirBnB, it turns out, is just too slimy for the service to work.

FairShake filed papers for me to take AirBnB to arbitration. I paid a $200 fee to the arbitration company, and then AirBnB told the arbitrator to cancel the arbitration and make me take AirBnB to court anyway. The arbitration company claimed that the fee was non-refundable. Communication with Fairshake throughout the process was poor until I wrote this review. Then a supervisor noticed and took charge and communication improved immensely, though too late to change things.

Apparently the arbitration company double charged us for the fee鈥?charged FairShake first, then charged me. Once I disputed the arbitration fee with my credit card, the arbitration company decided to charge the fee to AirBnB 鈥渋nstead鈥? So until I actually see a refund, it looks like the arbitration company is trying to triple-Bill this same fee! I feel confident that I will at least get my $200 back, probably through my credit card company, and will have to take AirBnB to small claims court to pursue my dispute with them.

I would not give this organization or scam operation any stars but 0 is not a option. I reached out to this organization for support with Comcast. It's been almost 60 days and with no communication from besides a text from a guy saying he was my contact from a number that only receives text messages. I went ahead and sought support from a lawyer. Do not use this service!!!!! You are better off trying everyday or sending a letter on your own threating to sue. All I want is my claim cancelled. I am reporting this as a scam and to the Better Business Bureau. Do not waste your damn time.

At the beginning, I repeatedly asked Fairshake to have my paper draft reviewed and to speak to a human on my case. The paper draft included stuff that other party was NOT supposed to see, and Fairshake blindly mailed it out instead of editing my draft and consulting with me first. Their favorite excuse is "we are not attorneys", but it doesn't take one to know better.

Also, we must notify Fairshake when we recieve mail from the other party, yet Fairshake didn't bother to notify me when they blindly sent out my draft. Double standard, communication goes BOTH ways. Great, now I lost over $5,000 for good! Thank you for nothing, Farishake, especially in this recession!
