As reported by previous people, Fantasia Cattery is a scam! I was suspicious of the verbiage used on their website and in their emails. They have google images of cats they claim are kittens and haven been using fir what seems to be years…. same pictures. They want money up front and won鈥檛 accept local pick up. They claim to be in San Jose and will ship for $100. No Maine coon costs $590 and no one would 鈥減refer to ship鈥?when the buyer is local. Anyone who would do this is disgusting.

He refused to answer all legitimate questions that any reputable breeder would easily and willingly answer. Don't fall for it

I found the site, fantasiacattery.com and was captivated by the beauty of the cats there. They're amazing. I did not think I could afford one, but I wrote to them anyway.
They responded within 12 hours and asked a bunch of questions in email, and asked for my phone #, which I provided.
Myers texted me only moments after I sent the email with the answers, fairly standard questions any animal seller would ask. Do you have pets, do you have time, what would happen to the cat if you were away, who would take care of it, etc.
He asked all the same questions in text, like he never read the email. Then told me they were in CA, when the site says NJ. Which was a red flag for me.
The email said they were 590$ and came with 5 years pet insurance, and a LOT of cat things, including a bed and a cat fountain?! And 100$ to fly a cat from CA to MA, and then deliver it to my door????
Then I said I can't buy him (the cat, "Rooster") until November, and he said I had to send a 200$ deposit via Cash App. Now this is seeming really fishy.
I asked him why the FB site says NJ and he says CA, and he said he doesn't have a FB page, and those are impostors. Then I sent a message through their website portal, which he immediately copied and sent to me via text.
So… I searched for scams involving that site, and found this site. Which sealed it. I told him, "I found you on a scam site, I'm not sending you any money"
He had nothing to say about that!
I also did an image search, and besides the one I found:
https://www.facebook.com/Cattery-FantasiaCats-Mainecoon-248559292507405/?ref=page_internal
The same cat shows up on this FB page:
https://www.facebook.com/MAINE-COON-kittens-109746964126947/?ref=page_internal
Which is probably the same people!
The people who left glowing reviews were from NY and Ukraine.
This is awful! BEWARE! If you suspect something is fishy, go with your gut! Do some research and save yourself the financial loss and the rotten feeling you get when someone scams you.
I'm really sorry they got you folks. I hope someone shuts them down! I will go to my local shelter, where I can pay and receive a cat face to face.

My old cat died in April so i was now looking to give a kitten a good home. I had done local searches at the Humane Society, and rescue etc. and i found this site WHICH said it was local. So on the site i enter req for info. Myers texted me back and forth and said ALL the same things as the other reports. The site was professional and I had no reason to think it was not legit, Well he req i pay for the kittens via paypal ([email聽protected] or zelle at [email聽protected] I KNOW I AM STUPID, not really am an engineer, but maybe emotional and would not think ppl could use animals this way. Then never heard back, I did open an FBI IC3 report and will see if the FBI will nab their asses.

Emailed about an available kitten and got an immediate response from Meyers and kitten Earl Grey. $590 and an extra $100 to ship. Was very cooperative and provided pics. Claimed to be in San Jose, CA but had a 973 prefix on the phone (New Jersey). Wanted me to set up a cash app or Zelle acct. Instead I suggested Paypal. They accepted and I sent $690 to the email address [email聽protected]l.com. They replied back saying that the money never went through. I checked my Paypal acct and noted no issues of money not being sent. When they asked for me to resend I then got suspicious and looked on line for a possible scam and then found some one else who had the same experience. I'm hoping PayPal will resolve this in my favor.

I inquired about Maine Coon cats for sale, they would only respond via text, they were super pushy to get my $, I was given a ficticious phone number that was from NJ, when they say they are from CA. The address they gave me is for a town home that is currently for rent in CA @ **** Daisydell Ct, San Jose, CA 95129, stated they were Registered Breeder 12+ years, but could not provide where they were registered at. They were only charging $100.00 to ship kitten from CA to MN Airport and then a van would drive it straight to my door! Pretty cheap. Email given was [email聽protected], they were very pushy stating kittens had to go fast, due to incoming litters, wanted my info immediately w/o asking anything about me. Once I started asking too many questions they would no longer respond. I asked for a current picture of the kitten next to their phone with time/date stamp to see current pic, not provided, no response. NO FaceBook presence, Fast shipping will ship within 6 hours receive cat in 12-24 hours! They tried everything to get my money! Oh yeah did I mention cheap rates, and a discount if you order today!
