Travel misrepresentation

Advertised 3 days/2 nights with round trip airfare for $149.99. We paid $255 which supposedly covered tax and fees. Then there was a $138 activation fee. After they had our money they said we couldn't go on the weekend and had to go out of a different airport. Then the fee went up to $745.98. We said no, send back our money. We were referred to a site that warned of a scam. Now I am reporting them to every available site and our local tv station.

On April 5th i got a fax over my office machine that said 8/7 night cruise to the Caribbean for 210.00 each, kids are free you just have to pay their airline fee. So i called the lady (Amy) and asked all kinds of questions. I kept asking what the scam is and she said the only catch was you could not use it for 90 days. So i spoke with my sister and we decided to take our families on a cruise. Something we had always wanted to do, but never could afford it. So i called them back and they put me through to someone and i gave her my information and money. (stupid) She said i would be hearing back from them in 5 business days with a receipt and then i would be getting with a booking agency. Well about 8 days went by and i never heard from them so i started calling them. They would tell me something different every time i called. I would ask to speak to Amy and she had always stepped out of her office. Finally i got in touch with a lady in customer service and her name is Joy. She was so rude and told me she was sick of me harassing her and if i wanted a trip i needed to send them 69.00 more dollars for activation fees, then i would get to speak with a travel agent. She also acted as if she had hung up on me. I have all of this on recording and how rude she was. I had googled move now vacations but did not find a whole lot. Well the last time she hung up on me, she told me to never call back. I started emailing them and got the name farewell vacations from an email she sent me. So i googled that and that is where i found all of the complaints.
I do not want any other people to be had, this has really hurt me. Now my family cannot go anywhere, because i trusted these people, and i am out 840. 00. I just want this to get out there and let people know this is a scam. I am going to the Better Business Bureau and the news and every other place i can go to to get this out.
Here are the people that i know of that are doing this. There are probably other names but the are the ones that i know for sure.

I made reservations on 2/5/2016 for a vacation in the Bahamas at the all inclusive hotel Riu hotel for 6 adults and 4 children. They took out money from my checking account $680.00 and I have not been able to reach them since. Each time I call they find a new excuse. I want my money back.
My contract ID is #23348190

I received a fax at work offering various travel package promotions. I called the number and Nicholas Nolan sold me a 2 night stay in San Diego airfare included for 5 travelers at $249/person . I was told that once the money cleared my checking account I would be sent instructions to mail a money order for the booking fees which were $69/person. (After that I would only owe the taxes which were $48 per person.
Once that cleared I got an email from farewell travel/A1 Consultants asking me to activate my certificates by mailing money order of $69/person booking fees to True Marketing
550 Maxey Road #24068
Houston, TX 77013.
Once they received my money order I was emailed a form to complete to provide the names of my passengers and other travel details. They were then going to work up a "quote" which was only supposed to be for the taxes I owed and any applicable surcharges. Once I accepted the quote they were going to email me my travel confirmations and airline tickets. What I got was a very unprofessional and odd email with screenshots of a United Airlines flight time and date and then it listed the hotel I requested. The quote they gave me was for $3,090.62 which it said included what I already paid. I wrote back asking what they were talking about because I already paid for the packages all I was supposed to pay for was taxes of $48/person. They said they know nothing about the package that I bought and to contact customer service. Customer Service stopped answering their phone or email. Every reply I sent afterward the person was rude and said there was nothing they could do. I looked up flights the same dates and United Airlines and it came up to $1709 including tax and then I looked at the same Hilton for the same dates and it was $996 for 2 rooms, 2 nights…. exactly the same thing they were giving me but for much less – $1992.00 – not to mention that I already paid them $985, so in the end they would be asking me for almost $4000!! This is an elaborate scam. I tried calling the sales agent again and they lied about my agent being there when they thought it was me, but when I called back as someone looking to buy they put me through, until he answered then he put me on hold and a different lady picked up. I asked what's going on and she said Nicholas is in sales that she was the manager, Maria Gonzalez but when I told her my issue she said she's not in Complaint Dept and someone would call me back which of course no one did. There appear to be 3 different companies involved in the process, and each one shifts blame to the other. I now believe this is intentional. But my husband looked them up and we found that every website of theirs is exactly the same, even the logo, just a different company name and URL. We made a complaint with the FTC and the fraud division at my bank, but they said they wouldn't be able to do anything about the money order and can only open a case over the initial EFT from my checking account. Results from that are still pending investigation.

Thought it was a good deal I contacted my friends and we all agree to do this we paid 178.16 per person was told that's all we paid ok use $69 booking fee . Was told that day was the deadline so I went ahead and booked . Next thing few weeks after got a mail saying we need to pay $69 booking fee for each person so I was a little shock because I ask Kelly numerous times so I pay $69 she said yes all u pay u $1069. So I then call customer service and told the lady what I was told she was so rude and said no you wasn't listening she didn't tell you that, I mean in a very rude tone of voice . I told her mom I think you are a little rude what customer service does that am starting to think u guys are a rip off she hang up on me . I then called the original number I book on and the guy I was talking to was a little rude too tells me mom I have a meeting to go . Contacted number off of an office fax we received. They were selling really cheap vacation packages I was looking for a Hawaii vacation for my Grown children and their children. It was a really great deal, they told me the children stayed for free and were a flat $400 per child for airfare. It was a total of 250 per adult for condo for 7 days and six nights plus nonstop airfare roundtrip from Sea to Honolulu. Then we would pay a $69 per Adult booking fee plus $59 per person sales tax. 15 months to use the vacation. All I had to do was pay the $ 1000 down. But no Credit or Debit card. They wanted my checking account # and routing # with a check number for withdrawal of the $1000. I gave him the information and I was supposed to get an email confirmation that night and I did not. I tried to call the phone numbers they gave me and noticed that when they answered the phone it was answered with Reservations, or customer service or how may I direct your all. They never gave a business name and there were no pre-recorded messages when you were on hold. All seemed weird. When I googled it the next morning I found all these complaints and immediately stopped payment on my check and closed that account. I am not easily scammed I am very cautious. This is a very sophisticated operation and there are several people involved. They almost got me. Don't let them scam you. I am very thankful for this website to post scams. It helps us a lot. Thank you

I received a fax at my office for a vacation package. I have purchased packages every year for the last four years via fax and this one is a total fraud. they asked me for my routing number on my acct and acct number and I paid 680.00 initially with promises that I would receive and email to pay the 69.00 each person processing fee and reduced flight rates at a later time. the email requested 69.00 per person in money order form to an address in Houston called True Marketing, so I was a little skeptical at first because the other vacation pkgs I bought never requested money orders to a totally different address so I paid the 418.00 in money order and the company was supposed to call me to schedule flights and such and I never got an email and almost a month had went by and they stated it had to be done within 30 days. so I called and she stated they had a lot of call volume and lots of vacation packages to do and I would be contacted before the next Friday, well the next Friday rolled by and no contact. so I called the number again, and a witch named Burnadette was very rude to me and told me that it would be another next Friday that I would have to wait and I told her I read the reviews online and I was concerned that I was being scammed and she hung up on me. she claimed she was the supervisor. I had to close my business account that I paid them out of to ensure they never run more money out of my account and I had this business account for 10 years it really caused me a lot of havoc and time to change all my auto debits with companies and such. these people are crooks and I am reporting them to the BBB and to the authorities, I hope this review gets read. I am also going to put them on face book so people can see they are crooks.

I received the flyer via my office fax 2/25/16. I decided to call just to inquire as I will be traveling this summer. Everything sounded very good at first, we went over pricing and everything. The guy even told me that the kids were going to fly free. Alarm bells went off when he told me that they did not accept credit or debit cards but rather I would have to give my ACH banking information. I was like a payment is a payment whether you use a credit or debit form of payment. At the end of the conversation when I asked for the web address so that I could research the credibility of the company, ole Adrianne suddenly got short, gruff, and wanted to get off of the phone. After I got off of the phone I decided to google the company and found this. So glad I didn't fall for that crap.

Call center screens calls, will not answer after sale is made

The agent sells you a "vacation" but needs your checking/routing info to avoid a "merchant charge". Once the check deposits on their end, you try to call the call center and they screen the call so you can't reach the agent. They give you another number for customer service/booking but that number is just a voicemail and nobody returns calls. They ask you to write "FT vacations" in your checkbook, but the check is cashed as "Promo Travel".

In short, you pay $599.00 for a service that is never rendered. Good luck getting your money back, since you gave them your checking/routing info. They DO NOT sell you a vacation, they are elaborate scam artists. I notified the BBB as well.

The first time I called, I called in an attempt to find out more about the company and their offers. I was given a brief description of the offer and told to contact Erica when I was ready to purchase. I also asked about the today only special (buy 3 adults, get the 4th adult free) and if it was still available. They told me yes and to call back before they closed to receive the offer. I called back a second time on a different day to speak with Erica and someone else answered. They asked if I had already booked a package. I told them no and they put me on hold and got her on the phone. I asked her about the special and she told me it had expired but that they'd still give it to me if I paid today, 3 days later. The third time I called, I asked for Erica again. The person who answered asked again if I had already booked a package. This time I said yes, and the lady instead of transferring me, took my number and told me she'd call me back. I haven't heard back from her at all. I received an email with step by step instructions on how to book the package but the email was very generic. They also asked for a $69 booking fee to be paid once I book the date but this time, the money (check or money order) had to be sent to an address. There was no letterhead, no contact person listed and the website given looked like something I can create at home. There's no contact information on the website either nor are there any reviews. Thank goodness I didn't lose any money. The two numbers listed were (844) 255-5530 and (800) 687-8590.

They fax a sheet with very low vacation packages to multiple locations all over outside US including Hawaii & Caribbean all inclusive & ask you for the payment showing on their fax per person & get ask you to ONLY pay by checking making you provide your checking acct. Information with no confirmation to be expected until 24-48 via email & asking you to call back 90 days after to book the reservations. They are very good and will even sent you to have the authorization for payment via a recording person they transfer you to. They say they are located in Illinois & give you a website address farewellvacations.come with NO phone number showing on that website at all to call them but yet when you first talk to them @ their # on their fax they give you a customer service # that no one answer & you always get an option to only leave a message that customer svc. # is 844-255-5530 and their fax # is 800-687-8590.. when I call & ask for their physical address they flat hung up on me & after that I call again and they must have caller ID because they hung up again! Mayor Scam!!!
