I ordered sirloin steak and free range chicken, the steak was fine but they had left far too much fat on it which you are paying for, the chicken was off and smelled and all the customer service girl could say was that she would refund but not much of an apology. I told her that was bad PR but she didn't seem to care.

The merguez and other sausages are particularly good. All round great meat. My one problem is it's hard to tell what's out of stock on the website without clicking through, which can be a bit annoying.

First and last Farmison experience.
The first issue was that my meat wasn't very cold when it arrived. The ice had melted by the afternoon delivery and the top layer of food was warm to the touch.
Second issue: the way it had been packed meant 3 items had punctured packaging. I told farmison and they said it was fine to eat! But I absolutely did not feel comfortable risking it as I don't know when it was punctured and if bacteria had developed. (They eventually refunded).
Third issue: the food I had left from this order that was edible was then part of a product recall. Some items we had consumed and some we had to chuck based on their safety advise. They refunded the meat we disposed of (with some chasing).
I would never ever use them again and I would not recommend them to anyone. You will end up wasting time calling customer services to chase your refund for meat that you wanted to consume but couldn't.

Classic burgers are dry, bland and have a poor texture, had some given as a gift. Cooked alongside Tesco's finest classics burgers, these were no comparison. Some guests even left have eaten burgers. Have others variations to try, so will come.back and update score if they are better

Oh my goodness, what an absolute delight it had been to find this company! We鈥檝e just had a leg of badger face lamb for Sunday lunch – yum yum, divine, gorgeous, succulent, tender – how many words can you use to describe this cut & breed of lamb! It鈥檚 not my first order with these guys, I found them at the beginning of lockdown, I think this is now my third order but I will definitely be using them again & again, fabulous website, fabulous service and absolutely stunningly awesome meat – keep it up Farmison, you鈥檙e doing an amazing job on promoting & supplying decent rare breed meats from amazing artisan farmers, just brilliant

We've been using Farmison's fairly regularly both directly and through Mindful Chef. The quality of all the meats (but the beef in particular) is fantastic. The BBQ box and variety of cuts is also stellar. However, what really makes this company stand out is the quality of their customer service. We had ordered a big delivery for a holiday and had to add meat and change the delivery address. I dealt with a really helpful person called Ben who sorted out the issues from start to finish – brilliant customer service and great to not be passed around. Will continue to recommend Farmison and use them!

We order sporadic meat from this company which has become quite regular since Dec 2019.
The beef, pork & lamb is so tender and lovely. The chicken is not as tasty as the other items I have purchased. I would recommend the company.

I use farmisons on a pretty regular basis along with two other on line butchers so I can only comment on my intermittent orders. I have not experienced any bad deliveries or poor quality meat, usually I order Aberdeen Angus or Dexter, no problems to date. With meat suppliers they can never guarantee perfect quality to meet everyone鈥檚 taste buds so don鈥檛 be too quick to condemn on a below expectation of what you wanted. Give these Butchers a chance to put things right.

Absolutely terrible. Used Farmison a few times before, they didn't get off to the most auspicious of starts when they delivered on the wrong day and we were away! We decided to give them another go and they were good for a couple of orders however the last delivery was an absolute shambles, our delivery arrived and when we opened it the plastic containers were smashed on a couple of the containers with sharp plastic shards everywhere, they sorted this out but then, yesterday, we took the lamb nidderdale burgers out of the fridge that were use by today, and they were covered in mould. Wrong day delivery, broken packaging with sharp shards and mouldy produce before the use by date – you decide if you want to use them!

Absolutely brilliant online butcher. I bought a delicious cote de boeuf for my husband's birthday and the most delicious fennel salami – completely addictive! So impressed with the ease of ordering online, the delivery, packaging and overall quality. 100% recommend.

Overall very happy with our experiences with Farmison & Co, the product is of a high quality, the welfare commitments mean a lot to us and the customer service has been very good. We've had a couple of snags here and there that were all well handled, the main loss of a star is that we placed an order that was delivered incomplete and it was up to us to call it in, only to be told they knew they were out of stock – but the items had been included in the delivery note! A small glitch, and it was only the once but it's always advisable to check. Definitely repeat customers!

Prior to covid I have been looking for a platform to deliver good quality meat. I have only had 1 order so far but very impressed, good quality meat delivered on a day I chose.

Rubbish quality given the price paid!

Just as lockdown came into effect I started a subscription for the family meat box 拢70 and also ordered a mixed lot including sausages, steak and bone marrow burgers, chicken & ham pie, black pudding, pork rilettes for 拢50. I froze a lot but within that week tasted some of the items.. the burgers were dry, the Picana steak was tough and chewy when cooked to medium, the lamb mince hummed and I made these into kofta with added spice.. I wasn鈥檛 too impressed. I froze the rest … just thawed and cooked the stewing steak and so much water released.. reminded me to put a review up! The quality is shocking for the price. I鈥檒l get through the rest eventually but I鈥檓 not rushing to it. Needless to say the subscription was cancelled and I won鈥檛 be returning. We are NHS and even the 50% discount they offered was not tempting. Oh and they swapped the whole chicken for a duck which had been previously frozen so had to be eaten pretty quickly.. good job I know what to do with a duck!

Got some rib-eyes for father's Day. I overcooked them in the oven (reverse sear method) and they were still delicious. A testament i think to the quality of the meat. Never had steak of this quality at home so fair play to Farmison.

Maybe packaging was too large for 2 steaks. Environment and all that.

So I got a cote de boeuf for fathers day. Should have been suspicious of the word French in the description, absolutely vile lump of meat impossible to be cooked as per instructions. Take my advice ignore the pdf frying and cook in oven then smother in English mustard and take generous swigs of red wine ( yes I admit French) and you may be able to digest while cursing you didn't get a t-bone. last order with farmison au revoir

Amazing food, great customer service and reliable delivery. During the Covid 19 crisis they have will have had increased demand but whenever things did go out of stock they made contact quickly and found suitable alternatives every year time. Could not fault them.

Two years ago, I wrote rave reviews here and on Facebook, but their quality and packaging have gone steadily downhill over the last year. My last order had a half-empty box with no protective packaging or filling inside, so each item looked like it had been in a car crash (the sausages and faggots, in particular, were just a mess of sausage meat); bags of water instead of bags of ice, so the food was no longer cold; and – for the second time in a row – my fillet medallions (which used to be perfect for Tournedos Rossini) looked like large lumps of badly-butchered stewing steak, with no two sides parallel to one another. Just to add insult to injury, the refund promised when I called to complain, never materialised.

I HAVE NOT ACTUALLY EATEN THESE YET BUT BY READING THE ADVERT AND LOOKING AT THE PICTURE MEDALLIONS OUGHT TO BE ROUND. MINE ARE ALL WEIRD SHAPES.

Have before had nothing but fantastic steaks from Farmison but my 5.5kg T bone steak today was very poor and ive been cooking steaks for 50years ,it cooked well looked good rare plus but it was tough ,stringy and not tasty at all and hardwork to eat ,not enjoyable and dare i say it ive had much better steaks from Tescos! However my wifes fillet steak was superb! Sorry Farmison you didnt get it right this time for me ,shame because your steaks are normally fantastic.

Just received my latest delivery this time i have ordered the beef and bonenarrow burgers they look amazing can't wait to try them
I have also reordeded the leg lamb chops they are very large and i know from last time that the taste is excellent
I would certainly recommend this company to anyone who likes good food

Excellent variety, uncomplicated website, swift delivery and most importantly of all, supreme quality meat. I have enjoyed both the cuts of meat and prepared meals such as their stir fries, chicken kievs and chicken kofta. So glad I found them when shopping was difficult but will continue to use long after lockdown.
