My flight was cancelled whilst I was in Canada early this year due to a reduction in service (probably the most common reason for flight cancellation). You would think that this should surely be covered by comprehensive travel insurance especially when paying $700 for a 2 month trip. THINK AGAIN!!!! They advertise to cover up to $50000 in trip disruption expenses and unlimited for trip cancellation expenses but make sure you read the fine print as this only if your flight has been cancelled because of hijacking, riot, strike or natural disaster. It's almost laughable because the chances of any of the above happening are extremely unlikely.
It's crazy to think that financially we would have been better to not even have insurance at all. I also would've saved myself one HUGE HEADACHE, a lot of stress and many hours in phone calls and emails.
Extremely disappointed with this service and will be sure to share my story and thoughts with as many people as I can.

1st thoughts – I鈥檝e got travel insurance, surely this is one of those instances where they鈥檒l step up and make it count. I was very wrong.
The island I was on had very limited wifi as its means for communication. I had to resort to skype to call Fast cover to report incident.
I wanted fast cover to organise to fly me back to Australia ASAP. I had severe muscular trauma. Instead, I got what I expected from any mediocre travel insurance company. Excuses and neglect and frustration.
Losing your luggage is unpleasant and you hope your travel insurance will do the right thing without hassle to resolve the situation, but hurting yourself very badly in a country that struggles with English and is pretty restricted with regards to medical care, you pray it鈥檚 the one time your travel insurance will put the B.S aside and actually help you accomodate your condition.
Fast cover failed miserably. Would another travel insurance company do it differently? Perhaps. But what鈥檚 definite is Fast Cover will leave You stranded! Not worth it whatsoever.
Reply follow up: Absolutely ridiculous. And I would appreciate you resist from posting fabrications also.
It was clearly explained to you my circumstances whilst I was there and moreover, you don鈥檛 get to decide if it would be adequate for me to fly or not. If I鈥檓 in a position to verbally discuss matters with you and even attend the hospital, then I鈥檇 clearly be in a position to travel out from there. This is one of many excuses you鈥檙e peddling to justify your ridiculously poor service.
Additionally, with regards to my 鈥渃laim鈥? it was explained to you umpteen times already there was no rental agreement. WE WERE ON A REMOTE ISLAND. We were only required to leave our identification with the entity and collect it once we returned the motorcycle. The back and forth emails clearly depict this was explained to you and yet, you continue to use this as yet another excuse to finalise claim.
I鈥檓 very easily contactable via my mobile phone seeing that I鈥檝e been back in the country now for weeks. So again, enough with the fallacies.
I want all readers to understand the position they鈥檒l be put in if they opt to use Fast Cover. I鈥檇 take my chances with another more professional, helpful travel insurer.

We had all of our luggage stolen when thieves smashed the windows to gain access to our SUV rental car. We were left with nothing three days into our trip to the USA. Called Fast Cover for assistance and their response was 鈥淲e鈥檙e terribly sorry but unless your luggage was in a locked compartment in the rental car, being the trunk, glove box or centre console there is nothing we can do.鈥?Our luggage was under a blanket in the rear of the SUV and my backpack hidden behind drivers seat under jumpers. The offence happened in broad daylight between the hours of 10am-12pm parked in a Main Street in Portland. We lost everything and all that the consultants kept telling us is to check out page 鈥榵yz鈥?of the PDS where it states that we will not cover you as your items were not locked away. But submit the claim and see how you go.
I would accept the fact of our items not being locked away if the offence occurred during the evening but this happened in broad daylight and all items were concealed.
If thieves gained access to a sedan with a boot they can still gain access by popping the boot lever.
My kids saved up for 12 months to go on a shopping spree and they lost everything due to a technicality. Try and explain that to them you corporate thieves.
VERY DISAPPOINTING.
I will definitely let everyone I work with and friends and family of Fast Covers fineprint.

Thankfully, I have never had to claim, but would expect the same high level of professionalism if the need did arise

Online service was extremely quick but hopefully I won't need to actually use my insurance.

The true value of the policy will only be revealed if a claim has to be made, which I have no intention of making, and how that claim is handled.
