I deeply regret the day I joined this company. They've spent a decade running a series of – what can only be described as – scams and sharp practises. I've lost of lot of money over the years and it's only laziness that's stopped me from transferring all my domains to an honest company. My advice to anyone considering Fasthosts is to stay clear as they are as far from honest and trustworthy as it is possible to be. Their scams include continually inventing spurious PHP and other charges which most people are too busy to notice. You can complain about charges over and over and they will just keep adding them back to your account, after promising to remove them. Then, when you complain again, they'll say they have no record of your previous calls to cancel the charges. It's a sharp operation and unless you engage lawyers you won't get your money back. I've learned the hard way so be warned!

I've been with fasthosts for years and never had to deal with technical support until now and have to say I was shocked at how bad it was given the professional online presence they have. If I continue to have issues I'm off.

This company is diabolical, they will not fix problems and will keep taking your money and try and trap you into a contract!! Do yourself a favour and steer clear of these sharks, they have got zero integrity!!

I'm currently a customer of Fasthosts and not happy at all, every time I bring technical issues to their attention or ask for help, I have a frustrated feeling that they get defensive and throw doubts on my requests and remarks which is very unprofessional and the issues that are important for my business take a hell of a long time to get fixed, and that's if they do!
I'm not happy AT ALL with my Fasthosts experience.

Like others in this review section, I have experienced Fasthosts simply continue to take money from me despite calling and cancelling with them multiple times. Will be asking my bank to block transactions from them. Avoid this company at all costs.

They don't let you easily cancel without calling them first then someone on the phone will do their best to prevent you from leaving. It's better to move to the cloud now, The shared hosting has permission level is set to medium preventing you from hosting the most basic website using the standard microsoft dlls.

Its now time to move everything away from them.

Keep taking you money even when cancelled, with Continuous Payment Agreement (aka SCAM)

Money hungry, untrustworthy threatening horrible awful awful company. Their cancellation policy should be illegal as they have made it basically impossible. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

After 11 years of loyal custom Fasthosts has switched off a customers server I hosted because one of the domains linked to a different customers account had come to the end of their contract and Fasthosts wanted it renewed a month in advance advance. I've have had no choice but to pay for renewal to get the customers website back up. I am now going to transfer all 20 of my domains to a UK based company. Please note if a customer didn't pay me I would be still held accountable if I switched off their domain as poor practice. How do these big companies get away with it?

Beware of fasthosts. I signed up for a months trial and cancelled at paypal and on their website as the hosting is rubbish. Months later got a letter through from a debt company demanding payment for a years hosting. They claim when you sign up for a month that is you contracted for a year.

I luckily just checked my bank account and noticed around 拢30 was in the process of being taken. I spoke to my bank and they said it was Fast Hosts. I can never remember using Fast Hosts. If I did it must have been years ago, so why are they trying to take money. The bank have refunded the money and cancelled my card. They also said they will report this to the police if it's found Fast Hosts have taken money without my say so.

What an awful company. Avoid like the plague.

Just had a alert from my bank to report they had placed 拢5 trial charge onto my debit card. They then passed the number to the USA, where it was rightly rejected with PIN. This looks criminal to me

Here is my experience for what it is worth. I signed a 2 year hosting agreement for my web site in 2009. Not long after my web site was set up I started to experience difficulties in accessing my site. I attempted to speak with their support service. No help whatsoever. I asked my web designer to look at the site and they managed to get it back online. I then received some "warning emails" saying that they were looking to "suspend" my site because of technical issues. They did not detail what these were and then subsequently suspended my site. I tried unsuccesfully to contact them and enquire what was happening and received no response. I heard nothing more from Streamline. Just recently I received a threatening demand letter from a company called FastHosts asking for payment of 拢189 for renewal of hosting services. I have never heard of this company and there was no mention of Streamline or any connection. The letter stated that my card details were no longer valid and asking me to call them to update my information. I ignored the letter as I thought it was a scam. A couple of weeks later I received another even more aggressive letter theatening debt recovery and legal action no mention again of any connection with Streamline. I then did some online research and found out that this Fast Host outfit had acquired the business of Streamline. I also found a signifcant number of complaints concerning problems similar to mine and talking about the reoccurring contract charges and inability to effect a cancellation. I knew my card details were out of date so that they could not take any payments without me providing them with new card details which clearly I was not about to do in the circumstances. Then just a few days agoi I received a letter thanking me for my payment and for updating my payment information followed by some emails notifying me of the fact for the first time that Fast Hosts had acquired the business of Streamline.net(Why now and all of a sudden?). I checked my bank account and found that they had processed a charge for 拢189.00 on my current debit card. I have given them no authority to use this card and have subsequently arranged for the bank to refund the payment and stop any further charges from them. What is particulalry interesting is how this company obtained my current card details and then how my payment information in my private account was updated with that information without my authorisation? I have asked my bank to investigate for me. I will now be issuing a without prejudice letter to them by recorded delivery notifying them that I wish them to immediately cancel whatever contract they believe they may have with me and to explain how my account was updated without my knowledge.
I will also mention that all my correspondence will be handed over to my brother who is a barrister in London. I will keep you posted 🙂

I stupidly signed up for a two year contract with Streamline about four years ago, when the contract expired as with any decent company that is the end of it. Streamline have a hidden clause that if you do not wish to take out a further two years you must inform them – the fact that I did not sign up for a further two years seems to have escaped them.
Luckily for me I had earlier cancelled my credit card and they were unable to `steal` my money. I then started to receive lots of threatening letters from CGI Legal (?) their so-called sham legal dept. I did not fall for their scam legal letters and informed them that I had spoken with my employers solicitor who had advised me not to pay, and asked me to pass all further correspondence on to my companies legal department – guess what – I never heard from them again.
Question to Trustpilot – why do I have to give this company one star ?

Avoid at all costs.

Their "technical support" staff are grossly incompetent, incapable of fixing a simple problem even when told what the problem is and how to fix it.

Their billing people are thieves, fraudsters and bullies. If you don't remember to cancel the renewal in time, they will bully you into paying it even if your credit card has expired. They refuse to accept cancellation requests more than a few weeks before the renewal deadline, in direct contravention of the Unfair Contract Terms Regulations. They attempted to steal money from my card without authorisation.

They bullied me with debt collectors to renew my contract even though my site had not worked for over two YEARS due to their own gross incompetence.

I inherited a website for the local dog club looked after by this bunch of clowns Fell foul of the rolling contract when I didn't renew it in response to their supposed e mail. I rang the Debt collecting agency as I wished to write by registered mail to cover all bases and surprise surprise they can't release the postal address. I have however managed to find it on line and got the debt collection agency to send me an e mail saying the account is closed and not subject to auto renewal. I will be writing as well just in case. How can the CEO of this place hold his head up they are just a bunch of idiots

It is hard to do justice to how bad Streamline.net is.

Three years of attempting to cancel my account via calls, 'tickets' and emails and they still continue to try to bill me and threaten me for 'non-payment'.

Imagine being trapped in a world run by halfwit robots who have been programmed to make life hell for perfectly decent humans while at the same time cheating them out of as much money as possible.

This is Streamline.net.

I can only conclude that the higher up's in management are in fact fully aware of what they are doing which is essentially stealing money from their customers. The system they use to make it basically impossible to cancel betrays a conscious decision that since they cannot run a successful business they will instead trade off incompetence and poor service while larcenously thieving and causing maximum distress for all those unfortunate enough to fall into their clutches. It should be illegal and I'm surprised they haven't been investigated and shut down.

Two years ago I got a reminder to renew my domain and hosting package. I contacted them to cancel but was informed that I was too late to cancel so had to pay the bill for two years. I paid and informed them of my wish to cancel when this period came to an end. I recently got a reminder that it was again due for renewal, I contact them and reminded them that I had cancelled the last time this happen two years ago. They kept sending reminders and today I received a letter threatening dept collectors. If two years is not enough notice how do you cancel with these criminals. They use bully tactics and extortion. The letter had a telephone number (at a premium rate, of course) but this only connects to a totally useless technical department that don't deal with payment issues. WHY?? I am totally disgusted by their treatment and handling of my account. They offer a very expensive but poor service, have no customer service to speak of and are plagued with technical difficulties that leave you with no access to your site for weeks on end. Do not use them, go without a website if they are your only choice, at least you will not have to put up with the threats from them.

It was a little while ago that I was unfortunate enough to use Streamline.net. Their hosting is dire (frequent downtime, extremely slow.)

My main complaint is from when I tried to move away from them to another host. I moved my site and domains to another company and cancelled my Streamline account, however, that didn't stop them from taking a couple of extra payments. Money which I've never managed to get back from them.

They were rude and agressive.

The countless negative reviews on the Internet alone should deter any potential new customers from contemplating this company. The company is in debt and resorts to legal questionable means in which to intimidate their customers into covering their losses.

I had been a customer for over 10 years, from the days of CEO Andrew Dollamore, to current company director Frank Einhellinger. My domain had been paid for until October 2015 (one year from now), and one day, without warning, the domain disappeared online and my email no longer functioned. Assuming it was a glitch, I contacted Streamline.net who told me I was being pursued by the debt agency (they even tried to force me only to deal with this agency – CCI Legal). I refused to do so on the basis that I have no legal contract with CCI Legal, only with streamline.net.

I had taken a second domain with hosting just over a year ago. After nearly a fortnight I wasn't able to do anything with it, and realised streamline.net hadn't even registered it on my behalf dispite taking payment. I contacted them, and they apologised and registered it with Tucows. I couldn't take a personal email address with the package and an upgrade was too expense, so I contacted the company by their ticket system and by phone, and told them I did not want the domain beyond the year because of this limitation. I transferred the domain before the year was up, and my credit card had expired, which I thought was convenient just in case they didn't keep a record of my request to cancel. Streamline.net claim they can ONLY take cancellations up to 7 days before a domain is due to expire, and they can only do this through their online ticket system. I strongly contest the legality of this. This unrelated domain/hosting is their reason for removing my second account and domain.

In effect streamline.net have stolen my 10 year old domain from me, and are holding it to ransom unless I pay an arbitary fine. Nominet are unable to help (without expensive fees) because streamline.net registers domains in their own company name and not the customers.

I advise anybody contemplating the use of this company to be aware. Rather than placate old customers and keep them onboard, they would sooner make idle threats with debt collectors. I would relish the prospect of putting forward my story in court, and now have to contemplate legal action. In the mean time I will put my story out there anywhere I can to warn others against the unscrupulous actions of streamline.net

I bought a package from this company in 2008 which I never used. I cancelled the package in 2010 and asked them to park the domain at a cost of 拢6 per year for two years and they invoice me up until 2012. They sent me bills in 2013 and 2014. I sent loads of emails in rebuttal. I did a WHOIS check of my domain and found that Streamline had not parked my domain and had not paid the registrar, TUCOWS, since 18.12.2009, even though they took money from my account up to 2010. I also discovered that my domain was sold and is now up for sale on BuyDomains.com for 拢1,182.00 an amazing mark up for a website never used. Of course, it hasn鈥檛 sold for this price, or at all!! Despite Streamline accepting in writing that my package was cancelled and that I had parked my domain for two years only they keep billing me for a website I have not owned since 2010. I have repeatedly complained about their unlawful demands for payment and that they had sold my domain. They still sent me another invoice this year for parking the domain with yet another 拢24.00 administration charge for not paying the 拢6 parking fee for 2013 and 2014. They do not understand, or do not want to accept, that I do not own the domain. I have received all sorts of threats about debt collectors calling to collect the alleged debts. I reminded them that they would need a County Court Order before any debt collector could lawfully call on me at my home. I would call the Police and have them removed for harassment if they tried such a tactic without a Court Order. I told them that no Court would issue proceedings against individuals unless the claim had also been served on the individual, who has a right to defend such a claim. I was fortunate because I closed my previous email address and my credit card had expired by 2010. I did not update my new card details with this company because I was no longer a customer. This company is obviously desperate for funding and are using practises which breach Regulations which protects consumers. There are plenty of decent website hosting companies to choose from. USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR PERIL. The staff I have unfortunately had to deal with are completely thick. This website does not permit links to other websites. However, further help can be obtained from Citizens advice online and if you search for Citizens advice you need to go to the advice guide where you will find a wealth of information to help you. Help can also be found at the Government website which contains details about competition/consumer protection. Trading Standards website also have information about rogue traders and what you can do about the sort of tactics and practises used by company such as this.
