I have paid for Figo insurance for my dogs two years without a claim. As a condition of purchasing this insurance all medical records from the last 2 years were submitted. I faxed several invoices recently for the year from the same vet for my 13 year old dog. Nothing major. Blood tests due to recently elevated liver enzymes. An eye infection. I was told I had to supply the name and number of my dog鈥檚 breeder! Supply dates for every specialist Rudy had ever seen with chart notes. To top it off I was given 3 days to supply this information to keep the claim open. Figo is the same as every other pet insurance I have tried. They deny every claim. Too bad there is no regulation of this industry. My advice is to save the money you would have spent on pet insurance to use if need arises.

I don鈥檛 know where to start. We adopted a 4 year old English Bulldog earlier in the year. The poor dog was living in a van, rescued by a local bulldog group and shuffled between foster homes all his life until we found each other.
From past pet ownership
history I told myself years ago that if I ever get another pet I will have pet insurance on him/her.
After 2 days of research and comparison to other pet insurance companies I decided to go with Figo… honestly, never thinking that I would need it. I chose a premium policy with a $500 deductible and 100% reimbursement and no annual claim cap at $62/month.
Now the health problems began to arise…Less than 4 months after adopting Tobi he began to walk with instability and seemed to fall over when trying to lay down. Noticeably after that he began losing the use of his back legs and then shortly after that his front legs began to give out. In less than a weeks time he was not able to stand up by himself or stand up without assistance at all.
I took him to our long-time family vet and upon review it seemed that his condition was severe, and the treatment that he required was beyond their scope of service so I was referred to a local animal hospital ( an animal hospital, not just a Vets office).

Long story short…. after X-rays, MRI鈥檚 and a spinal tap my poor boy had lesions on his brain and on his spinal cord at the C-1 & 2 vertebrae. His condition worsened and the neurologist made one last attempt to treat him with a chemotherapy drug. The treatment worked and Tobi was released from the hospital after a long weeks stay.

The final bill was over $12,000 dollars!!!

I filed the claim, which is such an easy process with Figo and submitted all the requested paperwork.
Here I am thinking that I鈥檝e paid less than $200 in total insurance premiums and am now asking for a $12k reimbursement.
There was no argument, no nit-picking or any challenge to my claim. It was paid in a timely manner based on my policy coverage and terms. ( I really thought that my wife was going to have to sell a kidney to pay off the bill but thankfully that didn鈥檛 happen. J/K )
I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Figo based on the following:
-Customer service
-Policy types and flexibility
-Competitive rates
-Easy of claim filing
-Overall satisfaction.

My boy is 100% back to health and we are both as happy as we can be together.

We've had Figo Pet Insurance for 2-1/2 years and unfortunately had to use it a couple of times for some fairly significant emergency vet bills. Figo has processed the claims and made payment immediately and have provided great customer service whenever I've reached out to them. Read the contracts and details before you buy a policy from any pet insurance provider to make sure you understand what you are buying. I did an analysis of 3-4 different pet insurers and am happy we went with Figo!

We took our puppy to an emergency veterinary hospital when we were out of town. The hospital provided all of the required information about our pet's treatment. We submitted a claim to Figo, and Figo paid it in full and very quickly.

I can鈥檛 believe all of the good reviews of this company online as my experience with Figo has been awful! I have three dogs, all different ages, and they have declined about 99% of the claims I have made for all three. They say everything is pre-existing when it is not! I am looking elsewhere for dog insurance. What a waste of my money!!

Every receipt I send to Figo is challenged, even if it's for the same thing that was reviewed and paid for before. I am disappointed. It seems that if it was previously reviewed in depth it should be accepted. It's an ordeal every time to get legitimate coverage.

We have had an excellent experience with Figo thus far. It has been very easy to submit claims and the claims have been paid in a very timely manner. Customer service has been excellent as well.

Figo has made my whole experience easier. Not only am I able to save money with this service, but every customer service representative I鈥檝e spoken to was nice and empathetic. They were very sorry to hear about my dog鈥檚 death and were genuinely compassionate. Amazing insurance company!

I cannot complain. Easy to submit receipts and quick to respond.
If you call, they are courteous and friendly. The deductibles increased for 2020-2021 but they are covering more..

I have nothing but good things to say about Figo. We adopted a puppy over a year ago and got health insurance "just in case". Thank goodness we did, he developed a mysterious health problem that has had us visiting specialists for all sorts of tests (from blood work to ultrasounds). Figo has been there for us throughout. As long as you follow the guidelines when submitting the claim, you'll never have a problem receiving prompt reimbursement. I've recommended them to several friends who have all had the same experience as us. Highly recommend!

Figo Pet Insurance is without question utterly amazing! Figo specializes in extreme customer satisfaction while practicing efficiency and consistency when dealing with claims. Everyone I have ever dealt with has gone above and beyond for me and my fur babies. The Figo staff, operational team, and upper management treat every claim as if it is their own. They display care and concern for the well being on my pets which is astonishing. I am very thankful to each and everyone at Figo for continually help me with my pet care. honestly you are doing a good job but my policy just went up almost 25% and I feel that is outrageous. I can see 5 to 10% but 25% Someone got a nice pay raise.

I'm reading all these reviews where customers are getting their claims back in up to 48 hours. Just recently I learned my cat Tessa may have cancer. I have submitted all prior medical records and two claims and it has been over a week. I'm losing money while waiting for them to get back to me. I may have to pay more, and I can't right now because I need the money I should be getting back promptly. Every time I call I explain the situation and I'm told it can take up to two weeks. Come on, my pet is sick. This is the whole reason I went with insurance so in case she did get sick I could get covered and money back to continue. At least show some compassion and let me know what is going on. It's over 7 days, you have all the information you need and my cat is getting more sick and the bills are rising.

I received some really terrible news after routine blood work of my young pup. It turns out after many additional blood tests costly specialist exam fees and even an ultrasound, he was diagnosed with renal dysplasia. This was incredibly devastating news especially to hear in such a young pup, my first ever actually, a real sweet rescue boy. Figo quickly reimbursed the difference for my policy and I am so glad I have them as a partner moving forward in trying to support my dogs congenital condition. It was so emotional and devastating finding out this news, that I can't explain how much this was lessened when Figo quickly covered the expenses. I'm hoping to give my pup the best life moving forward, and after experiencing this in such a young dog, I can't say how important it is for everyone to consider getting insurance. I won't have to choose between the best care and cost and I am so grateful.

This company is amazing. They process claims with extreme speed, are very fair and no-nonsense, no giving you a run around. The customer service is great and even when contacted by e-mail responds promptly and takes care of issues. We had another insurance before this (this is our 3rd year with this company) and I cannot believe the difference. Fully earned 5-star rating.
