I received an email from Michael Sterling stating
"I'm emailing you again because I have not heard from you yet. I'm simply confirming that I received your Student Loan Forgiveness request and we have you approved with several Student Loan Forgiveness foundations who can assist in completely removing or lowering a significant amount of your Student Loan Debt. There is absolutely no cost for this help.

I was able to qualify you solely on your Student Loan Debt Amount and a few preliminary background checks.

If you could call me direct or my team at 1-844-597-7866 we can finalize your application and most likely remove most of your Student Loan Debt

Thanks and let me know if you have any questions.

I NEVER contacted them about any of my student loans. I'm sure it's a scam.

I called the 844-597-7866 number as the email stated "I'm emailing you again because I have not heard from you yet. I'm simply confirming that I received your Student Loan Forgiveness request and we have you approved with several Student Loan Forgiveness foundations who can assist in completely removing or lowering a significant amount of your Student Loan Debt. I spoke to a guy named Joseph Boylan. I began to get suspicious when he stated that I was approved for student loan forgiveness after only about a minute "on the phone with the federal student loan department". He began to question me about my loan balance, email account etc. When he tried to look up my loan details and could not find my loan with my email he said "I will need more information from you to identify your loan balance" I began to get very suspicious again. I gave him my name, which he already had, my DOB, and then he asked me for my Social security number. AT this point I did not feel right about giving out that information so I stated that in order to continue I would need more information from him about the company he works for and asked that he send me an email verifying his company and identity…he hung up.
