I ordered a set of small shelves over 6 weeks ago to Ireland. The first box arrived quite quickly and the second box seemed to be stuck somewhere or lost according to the tracking (I had to repeatedly email for correct tracking details). At first they were responsive to emails but now I鈥檓 getting no response. They should send out the parts I need or send me a complete refund. Ordered mid sept it鈥檚 now November. I had always seen the ads and wondered about the company – now my curiosity is sated. In the wrong way.

Don鈥檛 order from this group if you are in Australia. My purchase has been sitting in Frankfurt for 30 days with no sign of ever moving. But they continue to advertise in Australia, they dispatch knowing that they use DHL who are simply not able to deliver. Very disappointed.

I ordered an LED lamp to ship to Canada one week ago and received the package today. The shipping process was smooth and customer service correspondence was prompt & reliable. I am so happy with the product as the package came very well packed for a fragile item. I would 100% order from this company again but make sure you account for duties if you live in Canada.

I shopped from them back in January and due to the Holiday delays, the item arrived a bit later, but it was intact and perfectly packed. The customer support was also very helpful providing assistance in the parcel tracking. Ordered a couple of Marimekko pillow cases in June and waiting for my delivery to arrive, Fingers crossed that Covid 19 won't get in the way.

I wanted to write a review as I had seen some more negative ones here after I ordered myself and it did make me anxious. However, I can鈥檛 recommend Finnish Design highly enough. Fabulous customer service, very quick responses to my questions, the tracking was accurate and in line with dates I had been given and the delivery company in the UK was excellent with a phone call the day earlier to let me know a time. Please don鈥檛 be put off, this company from my experience are very good. Ordered garden furniture to the UK.

Great service, shipping delays respected for Portugal

Living in Switzerland, I ordered online a Alvar Aalto lamp from Finnish Design Shop. While doing this, I did not realise that the store woudl deliver from Finand as I skipped the page that had information about additional custom duties and taxes that may apply (view cart page) and went directly to checkout. Therefore I was surprised that upon delivery, I needed to pay 13% extra for tax and customs. I contacted the the store through the chat funciotn on their website. My chat was immediately picked up and after a while discussing the sitaution, they returned me 10% of the order's value back to my credit card. This was absolutely extraordinary service, very professional and totally understanding the customer. Thank you very much Henna and I am very happy to recommend Finnish Design Store. BTW, I love the lamp I ordered!

Never had any issues with purchases made. Great communication, deliveries always on time and they always have great ongoing campaigns.

I ordered Alessi 9090 on 10th march. The price was reasonable which compare to other sellers.
I was worried about the delivery status from Germany to Singapore due to the convi 19 situation. But it was out of my expectation, as I had received the parcel on 14th march. Now I can enjoy my coffee with my Alessi. Thanks for Finnish design shop!

I ordered 3 Aalto stools 5 days ago and today they arrived. The wrapping was exemplary and everything was intact. I am very pleased

Ordered a variety of POV lamp and candle lights. After my order, I read the reviews and got pretty nervous, but everything arrived as I hoped on schedule. Perfect packaging, quick delivery, no problems whatsoever. I'm in California, USA. I had a DHL tracking number and saw all the stops. Thought I should add a comment since everything was just as good as my daily Amazon packages. We love them, thanks!

Bit of a challenging set of issues when buying/refunding an item overseas, not to mention dealing in different timezones. Rest assured, this is a good company who cares and is helpful, who follows up and follows through.

Was quite worried after reading so many negative reviews but decided to give it a try because of the sale. Ordered some pendant lights on Sunday and got shipping confirmation the next day. Parcel was delivered to Singapore 1 week later in perfect condition. Very satisfied with the fast delivery and items.

Everything worked perfectly. Due to some of the bad reviews, it was important for me to write about my really good experience. I think it's very trustworthy that you can pay by invoice. And this worked good as usual with klarna. 1 day after ordering I got my shipping confirmation and a tracking code. After a very short time (7 days) my chair got delivered today. Shipping to germany is free and worked very uncomplicated and fast. And it was packed very safe and carefully. Happy with everything and I can totally recommend this shop.

Gave a shipping code that was fake, outright intention to deceive. No reply given after 3 weeks. Suggest to look for other websites.

Update: Email already sent but no response from their info. Excuse of goods being stuck in Germany. Still no real shipment code.

Update2: Replied from company to say goods have been sent but not given real tracking code.

I ordered from this website with a lot of trepidation after I read the reviews on trust pilot but I was keen on the tiny balad lamps.
My experience has been great. Thought a review would be good in case someone was in the same position.
1st emailed to them to inquire on delivery as my product was not in stock.received a reply in 24hours…not some strange site as mentioned in one of the reviews.
Then placed my order.estimate was 4 weeks as the product was not in stock.
Received a confirmation email of my order immediately and a shipping confirmation a few days later with estimated delivery in 3 weeks.
Received the article in good condition at mid day on the estimated day of delivery.
No fuss n I'm really happy with my lamps!

EDIT: Customer service got in contact with me and were able to resolve my issue, and gave me store credit for the inconvenience.

I ordered a book before Christmas – the expected arrival date with expedited shipping was January 8, yet I haven't even received tracking info yet. I tried twice to email customer support, and received no response. Based on the other reviews on this site, it seems that I am not alone in this experience.

Ordered a pillow cover. It was supposed to arrive 12/23 and I have written them 3 emails only to receive automated responses. Reversing my charges now….wanted to leave a review first.
Update: They contacted me 2 days later.

I had recently experience with purchase via Finnish Design Shop. Due to review i was considering this shop whether to buy or not. I purchased Muuto Stacked shelves and i was truly surprised. Shipping was extremely fast (although Christmas time), good price (due to Christmas sales, since Muuto offers no discounts) and precise and careful packed. I only recommend this shop, really no worries.

I placed an order and was charged the same day. The updates online did not match the actual DHL shipping info. Basically, there was some sort of issue between FDS and DHL. I wasn't sure if I was even going to receive the item, since responses were delayed from FDS over the holidays. Thankfully, things were resolve and I eventually received the item (maybe 6 weeks after purchasing?) Four stars because of the significant delay in email response and mix-up in the first place. The actual product is great!

Beware if you're ordering to Norway. UPS will charge you almost 50% extra for VAT and handling afterwards. Appears that Finnish Design don't have import service for Norwegian customers, and also don't inform about this.

Worse online purchase experience ever!!
No shipping confirmation and tracking no. It has been almost a month. No reply from customer service. This company is literally Dead. I don't recommend to purchase from them. This maybe a scam. Beware!

Their business management fail big time.

I have been a customer of Finnish Design Shop for 3 years now. One of my favorite online stores selling amazing, Quality Nordic Design pieces. Recently a beautiful Iittala Lantern I ordered arrived damaged (Finland to Australia). I immediately notified Finnish Design Shop with photo's. They were fantastic in their communication and resolving the matter by organising a replacement for me. Kiitos to Olli (After Sales Specialist) who was professional and prompt with following through for me. A very happy repeat customer..!

ELECTRICAL PROBLEM WARNING – They advertise shipping to the USA but their lighting products are for 220V European voltage and can cause electrical problems in the USA (120V). Also they can't be installed in the american electrical boxes. This is a very dangerous practice and should be against the law. Do not purchase lighting or electrical products here if using in the USA.

Following on from my 1 Star review and my absolute frustration with Finnish Design shop regarding a lamp that i had ordered, it is only fair to now add a further more positive review which is all thanks to Ilona who battled through and sorted all the problems i had and resolved the situation. Ilona didn't give up and followed through with what she promised and the lamp eventually got delivered.
Credit where credit is due – and all thanks to Ilona, we got there in the end and i will now buy from Finnish Design Shop again, but i'll make sure Ilona deals with the order :))
