I ordered a fireplace which arrived within the week, I was really pleased about (due to covid restrictions) the fireplace was delivered on a pallet and was packaged really well with no signs of damage. but unfortunately the perspex doors were broken. having contacted fireplaces 4 life ltd explaining what was wrong they promptly sent out a pair of replacement door perspex panels. Thanks, I would recommend fireplaces 4 life.

Everything was excellent from beginning to end. Buying online was great. Spoke to a gentleman about delivery and he was so helpful and friendly. Delivery was within 3 days. The fire is fantastic, realistic wood burning stove electric fire. The heat it gives off is amazing and even when we don鈥檛 put the heat on and just have the pretend flames this fire still makes this enormous room warm and cosy . We are so happy with everything that we are definitely buying from this company again as we need another fire for our dining room.

Quick delivery and product fine.

After sales enquiry not dealt with. I asked a simple question about the colour of the wax used on a wooden surround but was fobbed off and told to contact manufacture.

Otherwise all OK.

Really wish I had read these reviews before buying a fire from this company.
I would have rated no star if I had that option. Customer service is absolutely appalling.
They delivered the wrong fire, expected us to pay for the return of it and are keeping us over a barrel for the refund.
The guy I corresponded with via telephone and email was nothing but condescending.
Terrible company, no wonder its called fires4life because your stuck with it no matter what.

Ordering and paying for the fire was easy. However, although the website states the fire is IN STOCK I had an email to say that the fire is in fact out of stock!! Disappointing!

This company delivered mattresses and their delivery driver negligently damaged our phone lines, as he left our carpark. As a domestic abuse charity these lines were our 24/7 helpline for victims seeking help. The company refused to pay for the damage, and said the driver was not at fault despite his behaviour being witnessed by others. Great ethics guys, a company to be proud of

Sadly you have cost me a great deal of money 拢500 in builders fees. You sent completely the wrong fireplace with the fire brick missing and wrong parts as well. although you replaced it all quickly you have not suggested compensating me for my losses as yet.

Bought a bed of them, though Amazon, in January, the stitching on one of the corners has come away. Because it over 30 day's old, they don't want to do anything. I've had to pay for a mattress bag from Ebay 拢4, and I have to pay a courier to deliver it 拢20.
拢24 for them to look a faulty mattress.
Customers service is non-existent
Goods have to fit for purpose and last a reasonable amount of time. That's the law.

First I wasn't notified that the fire I'd ordered was dispatched so it came when i wasn't in. I then rearranged delivery and now found that the wrong fire has been sent. Not impressed!!

My 90 year old parents left traumatised with the after sales service from the manager Pete.

Placed and order for electronic gas fire as unable to light by hand due to disabilities in December. Fire delivered promptly with a local gas fitter called, he unpacked fire to find was a manual model. Immediately my mother contacted to arrange a replacement, two days later exactly same occurred. Eventually correct fire delivered but understandably the gas fitter charged for each visit.
My mother contacted Pete who promised to rectify her out of pocket costs of around 拢180 (an amount they do not have) and would contact the suppliers as he claimed their fault……. since then despite many phone calls (always in meetings and just popped out the standard excuse) and 4 e mails ABSOLUTE SILENCE.
If not resolved very soon I will be taking legal action on their behalf.

The fire was delivered really quickly was packed very well and looked amazing in the existing fireplace. It also generates a lot of heat and soon warms the room up – I was very impressed and would definitely recommend the company to a friend/ relative.

My fire surround came after about 2 weeks no problems with fire surround. Perfect. The only problem they didn't phone to let me know it was being delivered. They just turned up, so good job I was home. Only 1 man delivery, so had to get some one to help me get it up to my first floor flat. They had my phone number in the shop. But delivery man didn't have it.

The fire we ordered was delivered ok but no one bothered to email text or call to say it was coming. Consequently we were out and luckily my neighbour took it in. We also had no acknowledgement of our order when it was placed. I had to phone them to confirm whether it had been received. The product itself was however delivered quickly and we are very pleased with it. This company just need to improve their customer contact as it鈥檚 rather disturbing to spend nearly a 拢1000 and not get any form of acknowledgement.

Ordered a fire surround and never heard anything further. Called around a week and a half later and (probably only because I called) was told that day that they didn鈥檛 have my surround in stock. They offered me another one which I obviously refused. I have now had to ask for a refund – complete waste of time and has set me back on decorating my house.
