THIS IS A SCANDAL AND A FRAUD!

I made an order and got sent the wrong item. Received a fairly brusque email response explaining that I'd have to make a return and that they'd refund the shipping costs later.

I made the return, which was recieved (and signed for) around two weeks ago and am now told that the return hasn't been received. I'm still hoping that I can get a refund sorted at some point but this has been an all round awful experience.

If you can avoid using fishpond I'd probably reccomend doing so.

Edit: In spite of the response to this review, I have recieved no further communication from fishpond. I am contacting them for the third time now.

I ordered 2 books over 2 weeks ago that were clearly marked as IN STOCK and SHIPS FROM LOCAL AU WAREHOUSE, due to arrive Dec 17-12
As soon as I ordered I was told I would receive shipping notification by Dec 17 and yesterday I was told they would ship from UK warehouse , due to arrive JANUARY.
Oh and that I could send the books back if they arrive too late.

Terrible Site! Since Christmas is coming up I decided to buy things for my Wife and My Siblings, since one of my siblings had their father taken away recently (he died) I wanted to buy her some things that might make her more positive, but NO, My card was charged 152,000$, Yeah, I did buy a big order worth this much on this site because Amazon won't let me place an order over 100K, and these scumbags stole over One Hundred Thousand Dollars off me! My Order has vanished and there is not a single trace of any order being placed, when I click on the Order it just says $0.00 in total, but if that is true then why did they Charge my card 152K? That isn't nice, I am taking this company to court and shutting them down if this is not fixed this week, I am also reporting this site to Authorities for Fraud and Scam, this isn't right and whoever is behind the screen reading this, you're a DICK!

And don't even come at me with the "We flagged it for Fraud and Safety team" Because your "Safety team" are just a bunch of no lifers, This is unacceptable !

I bought a box of Numicon, which arrived with a broken lid. I contacted Fishpond who advised they would put a credit on my account of 拢5. I emailed to advise I would rather that money go straight back to my card but never heard back from them despite a further email. Poor customer service. Will definitely not be buying from them again. I feel annoyed that they tried to make me shop with them again!

I have been using Fishpond for almost 10 years. I have always been happy with the wide variety of books available. The one or two occasions a book did't arrive, they were right on it and sent another. I think the prices are reasonable, too. They are the only company I use for online book buying.

Bought an expensive reference guide to Antique Clocks, however, when it arrived the cover did not match the contents. Inside was a child's gardening book. Asked for refund, and they required the return of the misprinted book. When I asked them to provide a label, they promised to reimburse return postage if I paid it. They refunded the book, but stiffed me the $7.75 to mail back the worthless misprint. Life it too short to deal with those who sell you garbage and then don't stand behind their own mistake.

Fishpond is a great place to get books. Good prices and great selection.

I have ordered a pan from Fishpond over a month ago now. I have an order number but no tracking is available.

I cannot even fill out a support form on their website because I have to choose a tracking ID which the website does not provide.

They have robbed me of my money and i Have no way of getting in touch with them.

They gave me the wrong toy after a two month wait

Ordered a Blu-ray from them back in June. It鈥檚 now late August and still hasn鈥檛 arrived. Opened a dispute with PayPal against the company and managed to get a full refund.

I contacted fishpond several times prior and they told me to not ask for a refund as they were a small business. They are exploiting this pandemic to get money of consumers without having to spend a lot on international shipping. Most orders from other reviews I鈥檝e seen have not arrived at all.

Avoid this company if you can.

LOL REALLY? you have got to be kidding me!! LOL is this site a joke? it can't be real with those OUTRAGEOUSLY HIGH prices! too funny. Anyone who would pay 4xs and more for an item u can get MULTIPLE places WAY cheaper, is either brain dead or extremely challenged. Only the scammer would say anything good about this joke of a site. Most likely the site is only there to steal your bank account information. Cuz if you'd pay those prices, you have more money than you know what to do with and I'm sure those scammers can steal a lot from you before you even notice.
DUH! Do your homework or Check at least 1 other site when shopping. Geez -otherwise you deserve to be scammed I guess.

Ordered a book on June 30 and it still hasn鈥檛 arrived (today is 07 Aug). Minimal response from their 鈥渃ustomer service鈥?team. Am trying to get my money back through PayPal. Don鈥檛 waste your time with this company.

08 Aug update: the book arrived today: checking the label it was posted out on 04 August and not 30 June as it should have been. Subsequently, I have dropped my case through PayPal against them but have no plans to order from Fishpond again.

03 Sept: had a reply from Fishpond below on 03 Sept for a book I ordered on 30 June! Not going to waste any more time with them.

I have had an absolute nightmare with this company. I ordered a primer, which was shipped from the USA, so i expected a few delays. I followed the tracking it stated that the item had actually arrived in the UK, about a month after ordering it. Hooray!!! or so I thought, then i received a card stating that there was 拢18.11 to pay for a customs charge. I immediately contacted fish pond & stated that ive never ever had to pay a charge previously for this item & why should I as they advertise free shipping. I did get a reply, firstly saying that I should pay this amount & that they would refund me provided I sent them the receipt. Worst thing that I did was to pay it, as I sent them the receipt & 6 days after their original email i still haven't received my refund, which is really upsetting & frustrating, particularly as I have been a customer with them since 2014. I email them everyday but they have since ignored me. I think that they should be ashamed of themselves, a promise is a promise & they clearly don't know how to keep one. I will never order from them again after this fiasco as I don't trust them

Been waiting a week. No money taken. No way of checking status. Website order tracker doesn't work. No phone number. 'no-reply' on their email. Totally frustrating amd stupid. I've re-ordered from another company.

I wanted to rate 0 stars but I could not. Bought 2 music books online on 6 June 2020. Estimated delivery was 28 July 2020. It is 29 July 2020 and I have not receive my books. Have submitted online contact them form but no response from them so far. Avoid.

Well I was sadly suckered in like the rest here & stupidly didn鈥檛 check out the legitimacy of the site first. So I join the many others who never received their order with no response to communications. Weird no phone number & even weirder the message of don鈥檛 worry about no phone number (!) we will respond to your message. Funny how they respond to messages on here though, let鈥檚 see what Trading Standards have to say !!
I ordered a book over 3 weeks ago now. I will try & pursue a refund, wish me luck.

Absolutely appalling!!! never ever order from this website. I ordered a book from them on June 16th, didn't realize it was the NZ version of the book. On top of that book was only schedule to arrive on July 14th at the earliest. I decided cancel the order and ask for a refund but was charged a 17% re-stocking fee!! The order had not even been processed. No re-stocking was needed. Absolutely appalling and I will never recommend this website nor purchase from them ever again.

I ordered some books few month ago, they were charged however they never arrived. I am trying to contact them but it seems imposible. I only receive reply on the reviews site but not directly to me to solve the problem.

I ordered something for $20 and realized that it wasn鈥檛 the real thing I was looking for as it was a cover for one and cancelled the order right away they said my order cancelled and the money was given back but I got no money back what so ever.

I am very satisfied with my order and experience. The MOYA cocktail glasses arrived with no damage and are very elegant. Yes, it took forever, but the distance from England to California excuses that, I think.
