This used to be an amazing well sculptured site until Yahoo completely destroyed it with updates that nobody wanted. Now it's like a sorry limp version of it's former glorious self

I have used it as my primary image service for over 15 years, and it served me reliably for most of that time.

How many times do i have to try joining and just get a failed email verification? A thousand? A million? Seriously this is so poor I cant use the language you deserve. Worse than awful. In fact you are pointless.

Back to instagram, easy to use, intuitive.

Your site it S***e.

The new layout which has a 30% side bar that nobody seems to want continues probably for advertising income

There is a massive amount of indecent images of children, including graphic images of genitalia, i have reported and reported with no luck. some of these images have been available for years.

There is a network of people sharing these images in albums and sending even worse content over direct messaging!

They are still charging a hefty amount for premium membership in this day and age where there are many more better options to showcase your images and videos.

Not at all happy with major price increases and no notification. Massive increase last year ( close to doubling the subscription) and again this year moving up another 50%. Sneakily changed from annual
billing to monthly reducing the apparent amount and hoping I wouldn鈥檛 notice. Tried to cancel through the browser on the phone but the cancel button mysteriously didn鈥檛 work. It did work online on my PC.

Flickr is still, by far, the best place to store and share hi-res images. I have used it as my primary image service for over 15 years, and it served me reliably for most of that time. After a few years of Yahoo mismanagement, it is now owned by SmugMug, a small photography company. They make money from photographers, not ads. Most importantly, they are not part of the Tech Bubble.

Most of the reviews here at Trustpilot are from those unfortunate souls who ran into some kind of problem with Flickr. Not to diminish their experience, but what you don鈥檛 see here are the thousands of users who joyfully use Flickr every day.

I cannot believe this service is still so popular. I have worked as a professional photographer for 13 years and posted an album with some mediocre pics under my name on Flickr in the years before that. The account was in my full name. I lost the credentials to that account and then got tangled up in the move to Yahoo in ways I have never understood. A Google image search on my name kept returning that little portfolio extremely highly ranked. The short story is, that their customer services have never wanted to close that account, not even (here it comes:) after I sent them the original RAW files to the files they had online of me! After years and years (!) of corresponding with exceedingly daft CS reps, I finally managed to get the email/password combo right and deleted my account.

Flickr is a grown-up feeling space dedicated to both casual and more serious photography. I love photography, but admittedly don't have a grasp on the more technical elements, so this site is not only a great source of inspiration, but a resource for learning as well. The user feels very in control of their content here. You can adjust both privacy and license settings for every photo you upload. I have a free account and it suits my purposes fine so far. There's a very generous 1,000 photo storage limit – after that, you have to purchase Pro. Pro also grants you more exposure. Navigating here is a bit challenging at times, but that's to be expected with a site that provides so many options for viewing and sharing content.

I spent the first few years of my cyber life wandering looking for something that satisfied my creative itch in photography. Most sites in 2004 were pretty vanilla. The content being fairly predictable tropes. Being a virtual newbie to the online space I didn't connect much anywhere. Then flickr came along. I promptly paid for the pro level account and never looked back. Here I am 16 years later still forking out my annual subscription. Except now I use it to also backup all my jpegs too. It is my home away from home and the place I spend most of my online existence. Admittedly the 'community' got the life sucked out of it by Facebook and then instagram but hey I like hanging around in there and the images I ave backed up are tucked away and I'm not fed ads or do they use my data in a way that offends me.

Absolutely pointless and expensive website that holds you to ransom over your photographs and memories. Also almost impossible to easily get your photographs off their website. Never ever put anything on here

I think I have just been ripped off, they splurged with a banner add on the site to renew now at a discount and so I did but the anniversary of the renewal is now February with a years payment, that's fine but they seem not to have taken into account my annual renewal at full price was back in November….errrrrm surely as that was also paid for up front there is something extremely dodgy going on here unless I am being dumb in which case I apologise. Anyone in the UK had the same thought?

I was happy until the changes came in and almost all of my photos got deleted.. Luckily there are better sites to use than this. Not going to give them any money.

This site takes an eternity load, and when you go inside the photo you have selected you just find out that the owner of the photo has disabled the download option(you dont find out until you are going to download it) and again it is a very very very very………. slow site.
i would absolutely advise you not to go to flickr.com.
thank you

Even though I needed Flickr as a photography enthusiast; I boycotted Flickr yesterday. So why is Flickr bad?

1. SafeSearch is a joke. You will run through a lot of inappropriate images. It is not safe for children under any circumstances. Hence, you cannot use it with comfort if your children are around. Another issue is the flagging button. You cannot flag a photo for review unless you open it. What a terrible design? Having to load inappropriate images in order to "flag" them?

2. Customer service are negative and neglect their own guidelines. I reported a group that was mocking a particular religious group which is against Flickr's guidelines. Guess what? The group is still there, the customer service response was awful.

3. The search function is primitive and doesn't suit photographers AT ALL. The mobile version is even worse. Searching groups is a pain. Is that a website meant for photography?

4. Search results load in a single large page overloading your computer and browser. Again, terrible design.

In short? A painful experience.
