The main issues start to arise later, as we have multiple PC around the house and diff family members I wanted it to be available to all and not over complicated so my elderly farther can easily use it, but all you get is a old plug-in for Internet explorer so its not the best and now a unsupported browser and a little wonky at best as I downloaded clips to my PC but there actually not on the PC it just went through the motion of doing it. Plug in has not been updated since 2017 and it takes a few edits in IE security to get it to work.
I then tried the recommended CMS 3.0 software and multiple other CCTV software products out there but it worked on none, then you realise Floureon have a little or no support with just a email address and after 3 days of trying I gave up, Floureon seriously lost a possible repeat and goodwill spreading customer here and I wont buy a Floureon DVR again just for the fact its dam awful to get it working on anything decently other than the main software on the DVR. It really is not a great product or supported company if you want to go beyond the DVR use it really does limit the system especially in this connected world, the phone app was OK but again a little wonky as it would only let me connect local and not remotely with port forwarding done on my router.
A quick bit of research and I found Hikvision who are meant to have great support, supply there own software which is meant to be pretty good according to youtube, so I bought a new Hikvision DVR only as my camera's are up and I will throw Floureon DVR on EBAY.
So close Floureon but in the end too far and a lot of wasted time on my side, it should not be this hard!

The free XMEye app is brilliant (I suppose u could use any app tho? but it recommended this one) – has already done it's job with checking who's at the gate & given me plenty of evidence of things in a matter of months! I have learnt that with the XMEye app that I'm using, when I've finished watching something, I close the app.. otherwise coming back to the already Open app usually results in the camera views trying to reconnect (and they don't) so best to close the app when ur done, then simply reopen it again & it connects just fine.
Best thing is when I hear noises outside the gates/fence, I simply open the App to see what's going on.. and the App lets me go back thru anytime of the day to see what I've missed – and the app even lets me video record any parts of what I'm looking at to my mobile if there's anything sus!.. even tho the system is always constantly recording to the main unit.
Definitely check the main system now and again tho, coz I found once (a few weeks ago) it had actually stopped recording, not sure why – plenty of space on the 1TB left, but luckily I was onto it within a few hours – only happened once in the time I've owned it.
I purchased the 8ins, that came with 4 cameras and a 1TB hdd – I got the 8ins just incase I wanted to add another few cams in the future. Great unit, highly recommend it – I feel so much safer having this at home now. I have caught a taxi driver leaving one of our main house gates open (grrrr) .. the neighbours' dogs constantly visiting our front yard at all hours.. even caught someone dumping stuff down the road!!!! When I first set it up, I had birds visiting one of the cameras and they were all so curious, it was a beautiful sight! I have also had a tiny spider visit one of the cameras one night – on night vision – the teeny tiny spider made a cute little web over the side of the lens. Soooo amazing to watch!!
Definitely preview some of the helpful YouTube vids out there first to get an idea of the functions (may be a diff model but it would be a similar setup & virtually same software appearance).
Highly recommend this Floureon cctv – incredibly happy with it!

I've been having difficulty remotely connecting to it using a PC/laptop. This shouldn't be that difficult considering all IP cameras should have this feature. So, I went to their website to see if there was a FAQs page, or a better user manual that came with the product that would help with my issue.
After scouring the site for answers (and finding none), I sent a message to their support email address. 2 more emails and 4 weeks after my initial support request, and they haven't so much as acknowledged my attempts to contact them.
Although not a widely known brand, Floureon sell many electronic products, and have a large web presence mainly in the field of home security surveillance.
Considering the lack of information on their website, and their reluctance to support their products, I really couldn't recommend buying any of their products.
I've already decided to replace this camera for another, with a company who take time to support their products. It didn't cost more than the Floureon product, which has now been sold at a car boot sale.
I've not been unreasonable with my support request, and I don't expect Floureon to help you should you decide to buy one of their products. You have been duly warned.
