Floureon

I own multiple CCTV units from Floureon with around 30 cameras deployed across three locations. Only positive experience so far including prompt response from support to assist with password recovery for one of the units. Highly recommend.

Never got a set up DVD. Was impossible to find a video online for set up that was relevant, the miniature instructions were out of order & sentences were unfinished! Said 24hr EMAIL support haha, and you could Skype them. What a joke! I emailed 4 times within a couple of days & NEVER got a response until 2mo later I accidentally sent an agent email to the SAME type of people & they responded with what did I buy. I know they had to have seen my earlier messages.

I would never buy a Floureon product, their customer support service and warranty is now existant. My web IP camera stopped working after 5 months of use and after several followups was never replaced. DONT Touch the product. NOT recommended in any way

This is my first cctv venture with a Floureon 6 in 1 dvr system and up to now I have found it faultless. The HD cameras give a great picture both day and night, in fact the night picture shows up well at the top of my garden and that's over 100 feet away. I use the XMeye app on phones and tablet and can "live view" all of the cameras as well as pick up the recordings from previous days at home and away.No hard drive was included with this package but someone was selling an old Sky+ box locally for 拢10, so removed the 500gb hard drive from the sky box and fitted into the DVR (simple to do) and I get about 3 weeks worth of recordings.

The camera picture sucks. I could have got a better system for the same price and what a pain to install.

One of the worst systems I鈥檝e ever had! Their was no directions when I bought it. Seriously how can you
Sell something with out a Manual? Since I bought in March I鈥檝e had nothing but problems with no help what so ever! Crap foreign equipment. I have no clue why us Americans keep buying foreign crap

Bought their product from a seller online. It doesn't not work with my laptop. Tried to contact Floureon.com for instructions. They sent links to youtube,,fine but I still could not get the model number. Without that number no set up is possible. When I tried to contact them and ask why it wasn't on the machine they simply refused to respond to any correspondence.I was going to by another DVR directly from them but with this atrocious customer service I decided not to.

I bought the Floureon 5 in 1 8ch kit but comes with 4 1080p BNC camera with no HD as i could get a 1tb CCTV HD cheaper than the included price, I spent a full day installing them decently around my home with a lot of cable to wire up and initially I was blown away by the decent picture quality especially at night so I was please, a good step up from the old Wi-Fi camera's in the window.

The main issues start to arise later, as we have multiple PC around the house and diff family members I wanted it to be available to all and not over complicated so my elderly farther can easily use it, but all you get is a old plug-in for Internet explorer so its not the best and now a unsupported browser and a little wonky at best as I downloaded clips to my PC but there actually not on the PC it just went through the motion of doing it. Plug in has not been updated since 2017 and it takes a few edits in IE security to get it to work.

I then tried the recommended CMS 3.0 software and multiple other CCTV software products out there but it worked on none, then you realise Floureon have a little or no support with just a email address and after 3 days of trying I gave up, Floureon seriously lost a possible repeat and goodwill spreading customer here and I wont buy a Floureon DVR again just for the fact its dam awful to get it working on anything decently other than the main software on the DVR. It really is not a great product or supported company if you want to go beyond the DVR use it really does limit the system especially in this connected world, the phone app was OK but again a little wonky as it would only let me connect local and not remotely with port forwarding done on my router.

A quick bit of research and I found Hikvision who are meant to have great support, supply there own software which is meant to be pretty good according to youtube, so I bought a new Hikvision DVR only as my camera's are up and I will throw Floureon DVR on EBAY.

So close Floureon but in the end too far and a lot of wasted time on my side, it should not be this hard!

This Floureon High Definition Video Recorder arrived missing numerous components and NO manuals!! I tried to get them to send me the missing required parts and manuals with no success 馃し馃徎鈥嶁檪锔?They gave as their reason for their terrible customer service that the warranty was expired馃し馃徎鈥嶁檪锔?It鈥檚 incredibly difficult to meet the requirements of a warranty when absolutely nothing in the box had the word 鈥渨arranty鈥?information mentioned. Nothing on the box and no manuals or guides- so their entire home security system is totally useless to me and nothing but headed for the trash heap. They are located somewhere in China and I wouldn鈥檛 be surprised if they had something to do with the Corona Virus…that鈥檚 how despicable their company鈥檚 customer service is!! DO NOT SEND THEM ONE RED CENT!! YOU WILL SURELY REGRET THROWING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AWAY!! I sincerely wish I had read the incredible number of BAD REVIEWS before I got suckered in like a bad Ramen noodle馃挬馃憥

Really bad unit. Sometimes picks up the hdd and when after loads of attempts to record after about 30minites it restarts and stops recording. When it boots back up it says no hard drive found. After restarting a few times it might start to record then stops 30 minutes and reboots. Then says no hard drive found again. Bad bad make.

Perfect security camera setup! Before I purchased it I did my research, plus looked at setup vids on Youtube and was confident this was the one I wanted. I plugged it in, went thru the system settings to make sure all was good to go & plugged in a camera to test it inside first – perfect! Took a while to work thru the IP address feature so we could view it on a browser (the web viewer doesn't work on Chrome) .. so I decided to just use the mobile app for viewing instead. We also have setup a small computer monitor in the hallway next to the unit that we can turn on whenever we want and it instantly brings up the live cameras. I don't like to leave the screen on all the time tho due to potential screen burn (when we turn the monitor off, of course the unit still records the cameras in the background and doesn't affect recording at all).

The free XMEye app is brilliant (I suppose u could use any app tho? but it recommended this one) – has already done it's job with checking who's at the gate & given me plenty of evidence of things in a matter of months! I have learnt that with the XMEye app that I'm using, when I've finished watching something, I close the app.. otherwise coming back to the already Open app usually results in the camera views trying to reconnect (and they don't) so best to close the app when ur done, then simply reopen it again & it connects just fine.

Best thing is when I hear noises outside the gates/fence, I simply open the App to see what's going on.. and the App lets me go back thru anytime of the day to see what I've missed – and the app even lets me video record any parts of what I'm looking at to my mobile if there's anything sus!.. even tho the system is always constantly recording to the main unit.

Definitely check the main system now and again tho, coz I found once (a few weeks ago) it had actually stopped recording, not sure why – plenty of space on the 1TB left, but luckily I was onto it within a few hours – only happened once in the time I've owned it.

I purchased the 8ins, that came with 4 cameras and a 1TB hdd – I got the 8ins just incase I wanted to add another few cams in the future. Great unit, highly recommend it – I feel so much safer having this at home now. I have caught a taxi driver leaving one of our main house gates open (grrrr) .. the neighbours' dogs constantly visiting our front yard at all hours.. even caught someone dumping stuff down the road!!!! When I first set it up, I had birds visiting one of the cameras and they were all so curious, it was a beautiful sight! I have also had a tiny spider visit one of the cameras one night – on night vision – the teeny tiny spider made a cute little web over the side of the lens. Soooo amazing to watch!!

Definitely preview some of the helpful YouTube vids out there first to get an idea of the functions (may be a diff model but it would be a similar setup & virtually same software appearance).

Highly recommend this Floureon cctv – incredibly happy with it!

Don't buy their products. Absolutely No customer support. Emails ignored. No response from them at all despite trying many times.

I bought one of this company's products, namely the Floureon 1080P HD H.264 WiFi 2.0 Megapixel Wireless CCTV Security IP Camera SD Slot, model PTX01_PW

I've been having difficulty remotely connecting to it using a PC/laptop. This shouldn't be that difficult considering all IP cameras should have this feature. So, I went to their website to see if there was a FAQs page, or a better user manual that came with the product that would help with my issue.

After scouring the site for answers (and finding none), I sent a message to their support email address. 2 more emails and 4 weeks after my initial support request, and they haven't so much as acknowledged my attempts to contact them.

Although not a widely known brand, Floureon sell many electronic products, and have a large web presence mainly in the field of home security surveillance.

Considering the lack of information on their website, and their reluctance to support their products, I really couldn't recommend buying any of their products.

I've already decided to replace this camera for another, with a company who take time to support their products. It didn't cost more than the Floureon product, which has now been sold at a car boot sale.

I've not been unreasonable with my support request, and I don't expect Floureon to help you should you decide to buy one of their products. You have been duly warned.
