The amaount of available fonts and quality of the files is second to none. the fontsoftware isn't as stable as I would have expected. Main point for improvement would be service. It isn't very clear what you get for your subscription, difficult to get overview of which fonts are with which subscription. the term monotype fonts as a subscribtion also seems confusing, some are in the subscription and some aren't. Even worse is the support options, very slow and unavailable. Payment seems a problem also, I have issues with automatic payment almost every year.

I mean, really, the title says it all. There are plenty of other font sites that don't charge you anywhere near that price. And there's even free font sites that have the same quality fonts at no cost…
And as L T. mentioned, there aren't any free one's on the site.

I think they might just be banking on "not-so-savvy" people and owning the domain "fonts.com"

Even though you can look for free fonts the only thing you will find is a bunch of wingdings and they will charge for the actual fonts that they misleading list in the "free" search results.

Gave false info and refuse to refund

I purchased a font to be able to upload to my website and it was not compatible. When I reached out to let them know, they said I had to purchase a monthly subscription in order to use the font which was not explained in the beginning at time of purchase. When I replied telling them I was not interested in that and would like a refund, they replied with refusing to refund me. So i have a product of theirs that I purchased that is of no use to me and they are refusing to refund. They have no customer service number and a foreign closing name signed in each email under the name Rich.

I purchased a product that was not compatible to my website and they refuse to refund me. They are insisting that i purchase a monthly subscription in order to use the product even after i made purchase and refusing to refund me after i said i was not interested in a monthly subscription.

It appears that they finally fixed it. It used to be horribly broken.

Also, a number of other reviews complain about the pricing. It appears that since then they may have straightened out and simplified their pricing scheme.

Anyways, It is a font subscription site. It could be of value for web design. How much more value than free alternatives is a mystery.

For now I am listing this one as experimental.

They say that you can purchase fonts or download free fonts without having to create an account. I try to download a free font. It asks me to log in or create an account on the same page that claims you don't have to. Buying and downloading fonts here is legitimate, however; claiming you don't need an account and then asking to create one after the next step is not right.

This is the site you are redirected to when visiting the Microsoft site looking for Microsoft fonts to download. The font I was looking for did display a price before downloading.
