This site has almost 1,000 restaurants and takeaways as of now (October 2009), most of which are based in South East London so you can imagine it is quite useful to a sizable portion of the London population.
food.lacartes.com features every restaurant's photos, menus, customer reviews so it is extremely easy to browse and compare. Every restaurant's page contains all the essential contact information and there is also a map to help you find it.
I would highly recommend it and urge regular restaurant goers to share their reviews there
