I bought some Godox DE-300 studio flashes from this company. They are dangerously made, both of them blew whilst using the PC-sync connection, also destroying a laptop and a very expensive printer.

I complained and sent the flashes back, I was told a technician was going to take a look, that was the last I heard from them, since then they have not contacted me, they don't reply to my emails or anything. I've lost out around 拢140 to this criminal outfit – no refund, no communication.

Watch out!

This company delivered some dangerous, cheaply made equipment that exploded burning holes in my carpet. When I contacted customer service they were unapologetic and rude, giving me a begrudging refund promising to pay for my return postage of the damaged item but not paying for it once It was returned. Shocking Company that shouldn't be in business

This is how a business should be run. I ordered a lighting kit and received confirmation very fast, and I was kept informed at all stages. The kit arrived a few days later including the weekend, which was really quick. I could not fault their after sales service either, as they went above and beyond to help, as I had a tight time frame before a photo shoot that same week. I will definitely be using Fotobyte again, and I would highly recommend them. Excellent service.

I have ordered a lighting system. I was informed at every stage by the seller of the status of my purchase. The item arrived very quickly and well packaged. The lighting system works very well. very competitive prices will buy again, recommended!!!

My wife purchased a Godox DE300 studio set from fotobyte in June of 2015 and received a speedy delivery from the company.

Unfortunately after three months of little use one of the units stopped working. I contacted fotobyte to inform them of the faulty unit and was asked to send the unit back for testing under warranty.

The unit was sent to fotobyte within several days at a much higher cost than was originally quoted by them, i even had to insure the delivery myself.

The unit was eventually received after being delivered to another business which they claimed happened all the time, and this is where it all went pear shaped.

I was informed that the 'tech' guy was looking at my strobe and that they had determined that there was a faulty capacitor in the unit. I was then told that the unit was 'on the bench' and had not been looked at. The cream of the crop was when i was then informed that the tech guy was on holiday and would not get to look at it until his return – no one had been looking at my strobe and to add insult the owner went on holiday and left some lady not even connected with his company to act as liason!

When my unit was eventually posted back to me they did not even know who the package was being delivered by and i was informed to contact the delivery company 'myself' which by it's own admission was preposterous!

It took over 60 days for my unit to be returned!

The prices from fotobyte may appear to be tempting, do yourself the honour of paying that little bit extra for a company who has 'customer service' as one of their core principles – because it is certainly not fotobyte.

**EDIT** Just had to edit out the name of the owner to comply with Trustpilots T&Cs which i have complied with.

Addendum: I was later contacted by the owner to say that my review was 'a bit unfair' – unfortunately i have to agree with him, Trustpilot only allows one star as a bare minimum, if i could have chosen 'zero' stars then i would.

Had an issue with the bag my equipment came in and asked for the bag to be replaced. Initially everything was fine, then I received an email pretty much blaming me for the bag being broken. I was told to return the product and I would be given a full refund. I stated I didn't want to return the equipment as I needed it for my business, I just wanted the bag replaced. Again I received the same message saying I needed a product 'that was more robust for my needs'!! Also, ' if I could make sure I didn't spontaneously damage any more of the equipment'!! That didn't even make sense and it was felt I was, again being for the bag breaking. Also, along with this issue, one of the lighting bulbs was missing from the equipment.

I decide to phone and dealt with a lady who was very helpful but wasn't the gentleman I had been emailing (apparently he owns the business). After she emailed him I received a new bag in the post (he hadn't even emailed me to inform me this was happening), along with the bulb that was placed at the bottom of the package, which had smashed all over the package due to it not being securely packed. I proceeded to email the owner with photos of the broken bulb. As of yet, after a few weeks, I have still received no response or a bulb!! I have given up and I will never use this company again. Being a new photographer I had quite a large wish list and intended to spend quite a lot of money. I think I'll take my business else where.

It looks like if you have no issues then you will be fine with this company. If you have any problems with your equipment, beware, as the customer service is shocking.

I first saw Fotobyte's products on Amazon, so I knew they are reliable and decided to buy from their website direct.

Placed order, paid with PayPal, and within 1 (working) day, I received my flash lighting kit. Amazing!

Now I'm taking professional photos in my living room.

Great, no hassle, no problem service. Fully recommend Fotobyte!

Will definitely shop again.

My products arrived to Denmark 4 working days after I ordered it. FotoByte麓s customer service was very helpful and I got all the information I needed and asked for. I can only recommend this company to others. Excellent service and fast delivery, very trustworthy to do business with.
