I complained and sent the flashes back, I was told a technician was going to take a look, that was the last I heard from them, since then they have not contacted me, they don't reply to my emails or anything. I've lost out around 拢140 to this criminal outfit – no refund, no communication.

Unfortunately after three months of little use one of the units stopped working. I contacted fotobyte to inform them of the faulty unit and was asked to send the unit back for testing under warranty.
The unit was sent to fotobyte within several days at a much higher cost than was originally quoted by them, i even had to insure the delivery myself.
The unit was eventually received after being delivered to another business which they claimed happened all the time, and this is where it all went pear shaped.
I was informed that the 'tech' guy was looking at my strobe and that they had determined that there was a faulty capacitor in the unit. I was then told that the unit was 'on the bench' and had not been looked at. The cream of the crop was when i was then informed that the tech guy was on holiday and would not get to look at it until his return – no one had been looking at my strobe and to add insult the owner went on holiday and left some lady not even connected with his company to act as liason!
When my unit was eventually posted back to me they did not even know who the package was being delivered by and i was informed to contact the delivery company 'myself' which by it's own admission was preposterous!
It took over 60 days for my unit to be returned!
The prices from fotobyte may appear to be tempting, do yourself the honour of paying that little bit extra for a company who has 'customer service' as one of their core principles – because it is certainly not fotobyte.
**EDIT** Just had to edit out the name of the owner to comply with Trustpilots T&Cs which i have complied with.
Addendum: I was later contacted by the owner to say that my review was 'a bit unfair' – unfortunately i have to agree with him, Trustpilot only allows one star as a bare minimum, if i could have chosen 'zero' stars then i would.

I decide to phone and dealt with a lady who was very helpful but wasn't the gentleman I had been emailing (apparently he owns the business). After she emailed him I received a new bag in the post (he hadn't even emailed me to inform me this was happening), along with the bulb that was placed at the bottom of the package, which had smashed all over the package due to it not being securely packed. I proceeded to email the owner with photos of the broken bulb. As of yet, after a few weeks, I have still received no response or a bulb!! I have given up and I will never use this company again. Being a new photographer I had quite a large wish list and intended to spend quite a lot of money. I think I'll take my business else where.
It looks like if you have no issues then you will be fine with this company. If you have any problems with your equipment, beware, as the customer service is shocking.

Placed order, paid with PayPal, and within 1 (working) day, I received my flash lighting kit. Amazing!
Now I'm taking professional photos in my living room.
Great, no hassle, no problem service. Fully recommend Fotobyte!
Will definitely shop again.
