We have had to send back my Sons Xbox controller after 3 weeks of use from Christmas. It has gone faulty after use of about 8 times and wont switch on. The customer services emails just seem to be delay tactics with 1 excuse after another!!! The customer services worker Anthony is not doing enough for us , they have had our broken controller 3 weeks now up to 04/02/ 21 and we have been told that there will be no update till 18/02/ 21, which will be a further 2 weeks my son has his controller missing!!!! What kind of joke shop is this. The money Game must have made on New Xbox X system i would love in my bank and they cant send me a replacement controller that costs about 拢50 this is the most awful experience and I WOULD NOT BUY FROM GAME AGAIN!!!.
This is the kind of service that sends companies to the wall. I hope the managing director of GAME reads these reviews with a lot of concern . I would welcome a conversation with them if it were possible ?

Don鈥檛 deal with this company.

I bought a Nintendo Switch pre Christmas for which charged 拢9.99 delivery for 48 hour service. After 3 or 4 days of no updates, I managed to buy one in store at Argos so I tried to cancel the Game order. No joy, they simply ignored all emails and they do not have a phone number.

After a week it was finally dispatched.

I sent it back under my 14 day right to change my mind for online purchases and they withheld the postage refund and won鈥檛 give it to me. The only way you can get hold of them is a twitter direct message and even then they鈥檒l ignore you most of the time.

They鈥檙e in breach of the law and their own policy by withholding delivery charges so I鈥檒l take it further to get my 拢10 back. If they are doing this to me they鈥檒l be doing it to plenty more people so it鈥檚 not really about a relatively small sum.

Steer clear.

UPDATE: After a couple of weeks of DMs on Twitter, they have now finally agreed to refund my postage, which they should have done originally.

Shocking customer service. As others have said the online chat is swtiched off, there is no phone options and I have had no response to 15 emails or my posted letter and returned item they received over a week ago. I am waiting for over 拢60 refund for the wrong game THEY sent (I had no choice but to purcashe the correct item as it was a christmas present having tried to exchange but had no repsonse from them since 11th December)

Never shopping at GAME again

I鈥檓 never shopping in this store again, I鈥檝e been a very loyal customer over the years, but the customer services is genuinely terrible, you鈥檒l find yourself patronised for asking simple questions.

I bought a faulty Xbox Series S on launch day (10th November), I took it back to the store a couple of weeks later (Dec 4, keep in mind lockdown lasted from the 5th November to December 2nd) and they wouldn鈥檛 take it back because they couldn鈥檛 find the fault, so they told me to record the fault and return it.

I did that, showed them the video and they still couldn鈥檛 find the fault, ignored my video evidence and refused my refund, even though I did everything required. They tried to fob me off with the 鈥渟peak to Microsoft鈥?solution so they didn鈥檛 have to deal with me, I asked them to speak to head office, but I had to persuade them into doing so as they clearly didn鈥檛 want to deal with the problem.

I will never shop at this store again, and will actively discourage anyone from doing so, I wrote an email to them complaining over a week ago and still haven鈥檛 heard anything. Awful, awful company, avoid and buy online, or shop local

Zero customer service with no interest in dealing with customers attempts to communicate with them. They have no phone number, no live chat (as they claim to have), don't respond on twitter, don't respond to emails, don't respond on Facebook. Absolutely no way whatsoever to have a dialogue with them.

I have lodged a formal complaint but even that has been ignored.

You're better off catching covid than ordering from Game. One star is too many but that's as low as the ratings go sadly.

Horrendous customer service and delivery. The ignore all correspondence and lie about products having been shipped. They鈥檝e even turn off online customer service chat so they don鈥檛 have to deal with it.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.

Ordered product in March, now in May and still don鈥檛 have the product. Was for my sons seventh birthday and he still doesn鈥檛 have it. They still have my money but not responding to emails and can鈥檛 get through via phone. So angry. Will never be using them again.

If I could leave a lower rating I would. Really regret buying from Game and would recommended avoiding any online purchase with them. Been waiting for my express next day order for 2 weeks and trying to get hold of any after sales is a waste of time. Online sales chat experience was awful in one instance was waiting over 13 minutes for a response to one question. Felt like they had gone on tea break halfway through and after all this blaming on courier company collect plus who are an even bigger waste of space. Even been to my local store who were completely clueless. Why should I as a customer who paid for an item with express delivery be expected to do all the chasing round to see where my item has disappeared too. Would have been a far easier option had I known to drive to my local Currys pc world and had some proper customer care. AT least I would have got my daughters Christmas present in time for the big day instead of keep telling her its on its way.

Went to trade my PS4 in for a pro half an hour before they close at game Bradford. Waited 5 min to be served while two blonde girls behind the counter just chatted while another served- yes I know which one had the egg for lunch. Then basically decided they couldn't be bothered to do any more that day so said come back tomorrow. One of the two gorls chatting about lunch genuinely looked with disdain and then rolled her eyes and said to a young man actually working further along the counter "were not doing anymore tradeins today are we?" Clearly wanting him to say no. You're not allowed to leave it overnight, so basically totally wasted journey and have to lug it back tomorrow. You can't ring the store first, you can only contact them by Twitter (seriously the company policy is they don't let you call the store) which they don't reply to, presumably because the staff are talking about their lunch instead of helping customers. I said it's poor in the shop and I'm saying it again now. They're fighting to survive in a market that's against them and they're as crap as they've always been and I'll bet they'll be gone within 2 years….there's nothing on the website and no notices in store saying there's a cut off it really only takes at most 15 min to check my PS4 works properly, it seems totally arbitrary and she couldn't be bothered. If they were busy I'd understand. But two of them were literally standing around behind the counter doing nothing as one girl served the queue. Honestly won't go back, there are plenty of alternatives.

Absolutely dreadful company. Due to a problem with their website, they have taken my payment 3 times. I have spent ages chasing them yet they say they can't find the transaction. Had to send a photo of my online bank statement, yet they are still denying all knowledge. No apologies nothing, actually really rude.

This company has improved it's online offering these days – no more second hand items passed off as new, which was common practice for GAME. Your online service is now very competitive.

If i could give less than 1 star i would, ordered some games online for my son's birthday which were due for store delivery by 5/12/18….they did not arrive on time so i had to buy elsewhere, i rang Game and they advised not to collect and that they would be returned for a refund, i did exactly that, i got a text to confirm that if i didn't collect by 20/12 then a refund would be given. skip forward to 17/1/19 no refund has been done despite me ringing up game on several occasions, the staff try to come off as being helpful but in actual fact they really could not care less, I was advised my items had been returned and that they had gotten them back some 4 days previous to my call 17/1/19 and yet still had not done anything about refunding me….. shocking service, will never use Game again

Avoid!
Purchased a game on 19th December. Tried to chase it up on 2nd January by email with a response asking for all details I had already provided in previous email, order number etc. Decided to use online chat and was told all they could do is cancel and refund my order no reason as to why my order was unshipped.
My second order has also been cancelled with no communication as to why this has happened.
Very disappointed.
Customer service non-existent.

The staff in my local branch at Chesterfield are fantastic. It's nice to get honest opinions from the staff about some of their products and reccomendations, rather than the MUST SELL EVERYTHING mentality of most retailers in this climate. In regards to the stores as a whole, I've visited plenty of different ones and they're all well presented and tidy, and the no quibble exchanges are an added bonus.

After sales non existent. They promise you the earth, but give zilch. Eg they took the mobile phone charger out of my daughter's mobile phone without her knowledge. It is a long story, but the bottom line is after a prolonged complaint, my upset daughter ended up with the meaningless gesture that the matter would be dealt with internally! Just not good enough Game! Please do not shop there if you value after sales service, it is non existent! Re: Game, Southport.

Preordered a game months ago only to have to wait an extra 3 days now for it to arrive (it still hasn't arrived yet). F U C K this incompetent company, I hope they go out of business.

Their pre order online system is flawed… i bought Shadow of the Thomb Raider under misleading and false advertising.
Implying they have product in stock (when they obviously don't ) but still take your money !!
Once order status is despatched by Royal Mail 1st Class, they wash their hands of you and you order !
A week later i am still waiting for my order which the staff tell me there is nothing they can do for 10 days (excluding Sunday)
None of this is clearly made available on purchasing the item, only after purchase which the staff have cleary rehearsed very well .
I will be taking this matter further and any help on going about this would be greatly appreciated.
I will definitely not purchase anything from them ever again and advise not to.

Originally bought a PS4 which has a fault the moment I started it up. Took it back the next day, and was told one of the staff would need to play my new PlayStation until the fault occurred again. Was in the store for over an hour, until they finally agreed to swap for a new one. After a few months, I had the exact same problem happen on the replacement.

Game is refusing to deal with the issue. I have phoned, emailed and written a letter (which have all been completely ignored).

This company operates some very dodgy company policies. I would never use again. The rude and obnoxious staff are actually the least of my worries! I will be taking the issue to court, and trading standards.

Very poor considering they "know it all" okay so i pre orderd my ww2 call of duty enter this 12 didgit code , wait for a token 2 days before it starts , rings shop and enquires get told theres a problem and the item wasnt even showing on my account or my points added , tells me to contact activision , no luck rings back tells to cancel my item gets aload of rubbish with " everyone will be suffering this problem when you cancel your deal you lose all offers" what offer at 89.99? Paid 85 on xbox store diddnt enter any rubbish code and got beta downloaded straight away! Also amazon hasnt had any of these problems , terrible email service half time dont bother to contact back! , never will even step back into a game store or shop again with them 10/10 for rubbish service and 11/10 for all the wrong advice and details on how ill have problems wherever i go , will always shop with amazon and others as game are always bad news and expensive compared to other places ! thanks for a 10/10 rubbish experiance once again

Ordered controller 3 weeks ago and it has not been received. 4 nonsense cut and paste email responses later have given up.

Claiming back my money from Paypal.

Clearly operating a broken automated system.

Controller since ordered through shopto.net and received within a couple of days. Won't use gamestation again.

I was given a gift card at Xmas 2011, the game I wanted wasn't released till march so I waited. March came and I went to my local game station only to be told they only sell second hand games!
Went home and tried to purchase the game online.. No luck there either the website wouldn't take my gift card number, and they are totally useless on the phone too.
I still have the gift card today 🙁 but I do have game I wanted 🙂 got it from play.com their prices are far better!
