The sales person, Ian, who helped me with my TV purchase was great…. especially during COVID. Not only did he beat the competitors price… he also found me an upgrade on the TV!

In the midst of the pandemic my elderly refrigerator gave up the ghost. We had shopped very unhappily at three other stores before we found Ian Chapin at Gerhard's Appliance. Ian made the process simple and found us exactly what we wanted (which others said did not exist). The refrigerator came quickly and the delivery people deserve a shout out as well: they were superb. I am coming back to Ian to help me find another appliance.

My interaction with Gerhard's went in a few different ways, with the end result being ultimately overwhelmingly positive. We had reached a breaking point where we felt like we had reached a point of no return, but Ian (eCommerce group) stepped in to save the day. His customer service went so far above and beyond, that I don't know that I would buy appliances elsewhere. Our project extended over a large period of time, their flexibility and coordination with our products and deliveries were impressive. Everything came in as expected and was in great condition. Very happy with the overall experience – even with the hiccup – as the results and effort in the end were incredible and worth it.

I have bought many appliances at Gerhards in the past partly because their in-house service department was great. No longer. My first experience with their new service arm Fast Appliance Repair will be my last! The tech came to check why my ice maker wasn't making ice. He checks ice maker, it is working but no isn't getting water. He tells me to turn off and then on the water valve in the basement. Ice maker starts working. I accept the $89 diagnostic fee. But I was charged an additional $60 for labor when he didn't repair anything. And when I called to inquire about the charges the customer service rep says he'd check on it and get back to me. He didn't. When I called a second time, I learned the rep had written in my file that he called me and left a voice message, which was a lie. The new rep tells me the $60 labor fee was for the tech realigning the water line. But the water line was never the issue, it was the water valve in my basement, which he never even looked at. I will never again use this company for service.

We have been Gerhard's Appliance Customers for over 10 years and have had excellent sales and service experiences every time.
Most recently we wanted to purchase a new washer and dryer and we did not have the time to visit their Doylestown, PA location. We were put in touch with Ian Chapin in their sales department and Ian took care of everything for us. Although we had done some research on the Gerhard's website, Ian was able to answer all of our questions about features, pricing and delivery. Ian treated us like we were his most valued customers! After the sale, Ian made sure our special delivery instructions were passed on to their delivery team and everything went smoothly! Ian even followed up with us the make sure we had properly applied for our eligible rebates!
We can't say enough about Ian and Gerhard's commitment to customer satisfaction!

I had a remarkably positive experience today ordering appliances by phone with Ian Chapin. From reviewing the dimensions of my existing appliances to make sure the new ones would fit to explaining available rebates, this was a first class experience. Even though I will have to wait a while for the new appliances to arrive as Gerhardt鈥檚 wait for them to arrive, Ian was very helpful in setting expectations regarding how delivery will ultimately work, including waiting for all items or delivering and installing them as they arrive. Thank you, Ian, for making this easy!

Efficient process, friendly staff. Slightly disappointed to get a call the day before that they didnt have a washer to deliver the next day. Not sure how that could happen since I had purchased it the week before and how can you sell something that isn't in the warehouse. But they did come up with a solution of selling me a floor model, so that was better then nothing. I received a slight discount on the floor model and it was still delivered next day. Delivery folks were friendly and efficient. I find it strange that you have to submit a rebate form for the 'free' delivery and it then takes 16 weeks to receive that refund. Overall, good experience with a local, family owned company so I feel better giving them my money than giving it to the big companies.

One of the worst experiences, spent nearly four thousand dollars and ended up waiting for weeks for my refrigerator. The sad part is we had to call them a number of times only to be told our fridge was on back order. Never again.

I first called Gerhards to see if you had the appliance I was searching for. The gentleman who answered my phone call was great and professional. He confirmed my order. When I arrived to the store, I was greeted pleasantly. It took no time to complete the sale. My delivery day was just as successful as evidenced by the deliverymen arriving when they said they would and completing their task in a reasonable amount of time. I think they without any doubt demonstrated excellence. Big thumbs up!

I recently purchased a new dishwasher at Gerhard's. I spent a little more money to upgrade to a brand that I was told was the quietest (the salesperson told me this, and the ad copy on Gerhard's site lists "quiet" as a main feature of the dishwasher). It's a lot louder than I expected, and I wish the salesperson would have been more honest with me, because I would have chosen a cheaper model. I emailed Gerhard's about this issue a week ago – the day the dishwasher got delivered, and haven't heard a reply. I'm reluctant to recommend them or shop there in the future.

My wife and I were looking for a new dishwasher and Gerhard's had the exact model we wanted in stock and at the lowest price we had seen. Plus they were offering even more off with a mail-in rebate. I called and spoke to a sales associate named Ian who was very easy to work with and very helpful making sure we had everything needed to install our new dishwasher. We can not wait to get our new dishwasher and will be doing business with Gerhard's again after this great experience.

During this quarantine period we had a dryer die and a freezer breathing its last breaths. We called after choosing products online..two different weeks and sales reps but both times, excellent prices and fantastic customer service!! We have now, to date, bought 5 appliances from them and will continue to do so! Even our daughter's family is now a customer and got 2 new items during the shutdown with ease. Forget big box stores.

As a real estate investor that buys appliances on a regular basis I always look for the best price, quick response and good customer service.
With Gerhard's Appliance I find it all in one shop.
I have been working with Ian for few years now and I keep getting great service. He is always there to advice, to assist, whatever I need.

I am updating my review after Ian and the team at Gerhard鈥檚 made it right after making a mistake. I was contacted first thing in the morning after the issue and was told they were able to resolve it and get my elderly relative their refrigerator that day. So instead of having to wait a week after the mistake, they got it fixed right away and we got the frig. Ian apologized and owned the issue which was very much appreciated and he did everything possible to make it right. Thanks very much Ian and team. You were able to turnaround a situation that started out stressful and hectic and made us all feel good at the end of it. Appreciate all your extra effort during these trying times. Stay safe and thanks again.

First review – I鈥檓 very sorry to have to rate Ian so poorly and I see he has quite a few good reviews. I wish I had the same experience but it was bad. Hoping he makes it right. I received an email confirmation of a delivery for a refrigerator from Ian (scheduled for one week after order). The day before I hadn鈥檛 received any phone call confirming the 4-hour time window and when I called, the sales person said there was NO date scheduled in the order at all. Ian must have forgotten she said. Mistakes happen, I get it, but my 82-year old aunt really needs a fridge during these crazy times as hers broke. We purposely went with Gerhard鈥檚 because of the delivery and availability and paid more so very disappointing that someone dropped the ball in a big way.
