i notice some same reviews as elsewhere for Anydesk.

Even the same wording. If the two review sites, getapp and the other one, both requiring a linkedin account to post a review, are owned by the same firm then they are still dodgy by posting reviews from site to the other.

well here they are replying and basically telling me to contact them, and inherently saying i can't possible be correct. Look around at reviews for any desk, you will find the same reviews on getapp. How is the attitude though, who on earth is writing this reply?? They didn'teven bother to ask where the other review was.

Very good app and it's very useful for my product research

I sm still studying the app idont know what is it capable of, but for now I'm loving it. Big ups

This website gives you a lot of information on different software applications and the description is usually very detailed. But be warned, if they say certain software will integrate or work with software you already have, they are wrong most of the time.

I use Microsoft Dynamics for my CRM. Everytime I found a program to use based on their "works with Dynamics 365" recommendation, it was wrong. In most cases, I had to contact the vendor customer support to confirm that it, in fact, did not integrate with Dynamics.

This resource has proven to be a huge waste of my time. I'll never use them again.

Dishonest business! They are still spamming me asking to write reviews for cash.

I have tried it in the past, writing several reviews (all got published) and I have received NOTHING.

After 2 years they are still running a similar campaign.
This type of behaviour should be punished by the law!

fake website I give 5-6 reviews but they publish only one and for that one they not give me any rewards which they promised

As other people have mentioned on here, the reviews are inflated on GetApp because they promise to pay people ($10 per review, up to 10 per month) … but then, after writing careful and thoughtful reviews, you get emails from "Brian V" like the other person posted, claiming they could not 'verify' your information. One of the reviews was for Gmail and they were contacting me ON the gmail account I used for my account and for communication … so how was that not verification? LOL! They scammed me out of $120 worth of honest reviews on applications I actually use. They kept them up until I called BS and demanded payment. It's ridiculous. They don't respond to inquiries until you write four or five times, and then all of a sudden they pull ALL of your reviews and say none of them can be verified. I call BS.

Also, you'll write reviews that mysteriously disappear and unless you follow up, you don't get paid, but they get posted. Until you happen to go over and look, see your posted review, and call BS, and then they take it down.

So they promise to pay for you to review apps on their website to make it seem like it's really a happening website, and then they don't pay … so it should be no surprise that reviewers (which I do as a side gig professionally, as I am a professional writer) are then going to turn around and review your company, GetApp, and let everyone know what it is you are really up to.

If you're going to pay for reviews, then PAY for reviews.

Also, I noticed that a lot of the reviews on here about GetApp were from Spain – they are located in BARCELONA.

This website offers people $10 per review for up to 10 reviews a month and then does not pay. They leave the reviews up on their site until they are called out on their non-payment, then pull the reviews and claim they could not "verify" your identity. (Even tho you have to be a LinkedIn member to get on the site, and even when you DO provide documentation of having used this or that app.) There are a number of other review websites out there, with a suspiciously high number of "positive" reviews about GetApp, many from Spain or having Spanish names, and unsurprisingly, they are located out of Barcelona. They do anything they can to get out of paying you, even pulling down reviews that have been up for over a month and that they told you they would pay for, when you question them. It will take six or seven emails to get an answer, and if you're asking something they con't like, they'll pretend like you're the one pulling the scam. It isn't just me – after this happened to me, I did my own research – which to my shame I should have done before getting involved, or maybe even after they were short on payment the first month, but I was new and I didn't want to make waves – but I found other people on review sites reviewing GetApp and guess what? They're getting the same form-generated responses that I got (in one of mine, the sender even forgot to put in which particular app it was they said they couldn't "verify" and there was just a space for that, LOL) … they'll blast you with emails all month saying, hey, it's March madness! Get your reviews in by the 31st so we can pay you! But even doing that, and providing "verification" … guess what? Now they can't respond to emails or make payment. (Oh, and they tell you it will take "three weeks" to process payments because their QA has to look over everything – but they go through a QA process when they're being "verified" so this is all BS.) Don't review for these people unless it's out of the kindness of your heart. Because they sure aren't going to pay you.

They engage in deceptive games when it comes to which reviews get published. authentic reviews mysteriously go missing/get deleted. Support is impossible to reach, and never responds to emails.

It all seems highly suspect and quite possibly is pay to play considering most business reviews are inflated here vs elsewhere.

The company promises to reimburse you for reviews, then sends emails like this:

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

There are more SaaS options than ever before for SMBs to choose from and it can be overwhelming. GetApp provides objective, comprehensive product descriptions and reviews, so companies can make educated decisions on what to buy. When I refer to GetApp, I feel like I'm getting solid intelligence about the latest technologies without all the marketing fluff.
