Misrepresented services

Represented the company and its services as Intuit QuickBooks. We purchased a contract for thousands of dollars. We were told that the contract included QB accounting software and payroll software updates, and technical support for five years. After talking with Intuit I have found out the entire contract process is a scam. When you call for support the number is always answered with a recording that auto disconnects.

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!! SCAM!!

This group claims to be Intuit/Quickbooks Advanced technical support. They are not! They did not fix any issues, only created more. They charged our company $698.74 for one year of Advanced technical support. Only after contacting Intuit about a payroll/direct deposit issue they informed us that INTUIT does not have such a program and that we should contact our bank immediately! We have done so and are pursuing a charge back against these scammers! DO NOT CALL 1-888-914-0101 for any reason.

Would not issue a refund

They represent themselves as QuickBooks Support and they are not. I've been asking for a refund since July 21, 2015 and have not gotten anywhere. I've been told that a refund check was mailed and then I was told my credit card would be refunded. I've been told the same set of lies for over 2 months now. After 9 phones call and countless lies regarding my refund – I am left no choice other then to report there unprofessional business practices on ScamGuard and report them to the Better Business Bureau. Consumer be weary – DO NOT ever use this company.

Fraudulent Misrepresention

I was having problems with my QuickBooks and found a number that put me through to Get My Computer Working Now. When a representative came on the line, he gave his name as Sam Rogers. He told me he was based in California. I told him of my problem and he said he would fix it. While he was supposedly fixing the problem, he told were part of Intuit. He said that Intuit has a service 3 year plan that I should sign up with to handle any future problems. He transferred me to an what I thought was Intuit so I could sign up with them. They emailed me the paper work which I did sign on line. Mind you all the time, I thought I was signing on with Intuit. I thought their company was part of Intuit. Sam Rogers was never able to fix my original problem so my accountant had to manually correct everything. He kept calling me and asking if everything was working. I told him no and that my accountant had to correct it manually. He kept insisting that they could fix it but I told him no. Two days later my computer got a virus and my computer consultant, Jim, had to remove all the corrupt data and reinstall everything. I'm not saying they caused the virus but it was quite a coincidence that it happened at the same time as them trying to fix my QuickBooks. Anyway, after Jim fix my computer he went to install QuickBooks but he couldn't find it in my computer. I had Jim call Sam Rogers who told him, he would install it right away. We stayed on the computer while he was supposedly installing the program. Well, 45 minutes later and nothing happened. That's when Jim told me, he looked up their company and he believed it was a fraud. We cancelled out of the computer and Jim installed the 2015 Quick Books in 15 minutes. I called Get My Computer Working Now and spoke with Sam Rogers and Jack Williams and cancelled my service. They threatened me saying I can't cancel but I told them everything about this company has been fraudulent including their real names. I was told by another representative, Jack Thomas their names were not real and that their company is located in India.

Fraudulent Company Complaint

On October 16, 2014 I did an internet search for a Quick Books support contact phone number. I mistakingly found the number of getmycomputerworkingnow.com who represented themselves as Intuit support and indicated that the pay monthly subscription option was no longer available and to continue my subscription I must commit to a 3 year subscription for $646.00. As they had somehow locked up my Quick Books access I was anxious to resolve the situation so I agreed to their 3 year subscription, however continued to be charged my monthly subscription fee. I called time and time again, and was originally promised a credit for my monthly subscription, and most recently promised a credit for a whole year, because they told me if they stopped taking out the monthly fee it would interrupt my Quick Books access. I have never received any form of credit and have now determined them to be a fraud, and the credit card company will not let me dispute the transaction as the statute of limitations has passed on this transaction.

Claimed to be Intuit

I came across their number after searching 'Intuit Tech Support Number". They looked like an official intuit site and claimed to be Intuit even after trying to clarify and make sure they were instead of a third party support or someone else completely separate. Nope, according to them they were Intuit. I was promised 3 years support and free upgrades for QuickBooks and POS for 899.99 + tax. Good deal IF it was intuit! They have some skills. They were able to assist me in a couple of situations until recently I need someone to tell if I had corrupt files. My situation pushed them to the end of their skill sets and tech ability. Instead of telling the truth they claimed they were working on my file and put me on hold until they closed at the end of their shift. When I inquired as to status, they repeatedly just said they were working on it. After 3 days of this I looked up how to fix intuit corrupt files and found good info on Intuit Boards…That's when too many pieces just did not fit. The only "real" info I had was a telephone number so I searched it and found out who they really are. I also found this site. I did not sign a e-document but its been to long to do a chargeback. Looking into FTC complaint.

SCAM – ALLEGE TO BE QUICKBOOKS SUPPORT

On October 16, 2014 I filed a complaint with the FTC and disclosed the issue on this site. I made copies of the complaints and emailed them to the agents at Get My Computer Working Now. At that time, there was no response.

In January, I received a phone call from "Andrew," an employee of the firm. Andrew was concerned about a letter the company received in the mail as a direct result of my complaint. At that point, they were willing to discuss a refund and negotiate a settlement amount for the unmitigated hell I experienced. In summary, on January 21, 2015, the Company refunded my money in-full and paid "restitution" of a $1,000.00 in the form of a cashier's check. In exchange, I agreed to contact ScamGuard and note the Company's good-faith promise and delivery of that promise.

The Company did, in fact, follow through with its promise. My concern is that there is a complaint listed here following my complaint in October. There are also numerous complaints listed under the other name/email they use in conducting business. This does not appear to be an "isolated misunderstanding," however the Company will hopefully be motivated to rethink its future strategy鈥?.

Tricks Seniors to buy 3-year contracts

GetMyComputerWorkingNOW.com tricked my 81-year pld father into clicking "SIGN" inside a DocuSign contract for 3 years of service, and then proceeded to charge his credit card $857, but he did not receive any useful help. Requests for refunds have been refused. He thought he was calling a company called I-Tech (probably a previously used company name) for help with Quicken. The person who answered the call implied that they were "The tech-support company for Intuit" – as if Intuit had contracted with them to support. He explained his problem and was told that GetMyComputerWorkingNOW.com could help, but before they could provide services, they needed his credit card information and his authorization to access his computer remotely. He was told to open an email and scroll the last page and click sign to authorize them to remotely access his system. He opened the email quickly and did not know that he was also agreeing to a 3-year contract and that he was authorizing them to charge up front for 3-years of services. After he clicked the DocuSign agreement he was told that he would get a call back to answer his question. Three hours later the person who called him back was unable to answer his question. So he read the manual and answered his own question. He thought he would not be charged since they could not help. Then one month later he opened his credit card bill to find out that he had been $857. He called and asked to cancel the contract, but was told it could not be cancelled. His credit card company also refused to charge back this company back because he had clicked sign inside the DocuSign email. Repeated requests for a partial refund (as he's willing to pay for 2-months service) have resulted in a promises to give back most of the money, but to date, no such refund has been made. They also promised to send an email stating that they would do so within 15 days, but they have not done that either!

Alleged to be QuickBooks Customer Service

A complaint has been filed with the FTC and my attorney has been retained. These people use multiple websites (getmycomputerworkingnow.com is one) and claim to be employees of QuickBooks, and Intuit division. I have been robbed of $560.00; my system has been accessed and all files uploaded; I have been promised a refund (refund promised on 9/5/14) and given every excuse in the book as to why I have not yet, 10/16/14, received it. The actions of this group are fraudulent and absolutely will not be tolerated.
