Since we arrived, while we were still checking in, we found animals, (cats). Wondering around inside the building as you can see on the photos.
The hotel鈥檚 staff and manager were quite happy to have the cats inside the building. In fact the staff fed the cats and opened doors for they get in. Despite it is an hotel with 鈥淣o animals allowed鈥? policy.

When I had a word with the hotel鈥檚 manager, she was very pleased to have the cats in the hotel.
She said, 鈥?鈥渙ne of the cats, has been living in the hotel for 10 years鈥? and she was very proud of that. Also said, that 鈥渟ome visitors like it鈥?
I said 鈥?鈥榮ome visitors might like to smoke in the building but you will not allow it鈥?

I explained, before booked it. I enquired about the animals policy. Only because I was told the hotel didn鈥檛 allow animals I made the booking. So now finding cats wondering around the hotel, and staff feeding and allowing them in, and looking after them, I felt tricked.

I don鈥檛 hate cats, but I don鈥檛 like find animals in restaurants, around food or where I sleep.
It was very unpleasant to be sitting in the Victoria bar having a drink and suddenly feel a cat rubbing itself on your legs. We couldn鈥檛 enjoy our drinks and left the bar, pretty much every night.
It was disgusted to see a cat in the restaurant, much more with buffet with food exposed.

The Hotel鈥檚 manager promised she will get rid of the cats. But she didn鈥檛.
The cats were like at home every where inside and outside the building; (reception, corridors, halls, stairs, Victoria bar, buffet restaurant, pool area, sun beds).

Every day Hotel鈥檚 manager told us she 鈥渨as going to take care of the cats鈥?… 鈥渢he cats has been evicted鈥?… 鈥淚 will not see the cats again鈥濃€?but she lied. The cats remained in the hotel, every single day like they were at home.
It was obvious she didn鈥檛 have intention to get rid of the cats, and as in few days we were gone she was just making time.

I understand there were cats wondering around in the surroundings, but the hotel鈥檚 staff and its manager should never fed, open doors, look after the cat and having living them in a hotel with 鈥淣o animals allowed鈥?policy. They were cheating and lying to customers (and potential customers), every time they say they 鈥渄on鈥檛 allow animals in the hotel鈥?

I made a complaint in the hotel鈥檚 complaints book. Hotel鈥檚 manager was rather dishonest and didn鈥檛 tell me for the the local authorities take my complaint, I had to get in touch with the authorities.
After I found out that, I did, and the local authorities launched an inspection. It took a while but the outcome of the inspection, the authorities found the hotel breached few regulations. There were three different levels of offence (light, grave and very grave).
The hotel was given 鈥済rave鈥? and a fine of 30.000 Euros.

Bottom line is this hotel lie to customers. They advertise as 鈥淣o animals allowed鈥? but the fact is they do. They feed, open doors and have cats living in the hotel. And if you complain, they try to take you for a fool.
if you don鈥檛 want to find animals living in the hotel, better avoid this one. If you expect professional and honest customer service, you will not get it on this hotel.
