My experience with FactoryOfficial has been similar to the rest of the reviews on this site– absolutely terrible. I have never had so much trouble with a customer service representative in my entire life. I ordered a camera lens from the site and received an email shortly after stating that I needed to call the customer service line to verify my credit card information and purchase. Upon talking to the customer service rep, he told me I had ordered the "film" version and if I was going to be using the lens for digital work, I would need to pay $200 more for the digital lens. I told him I would be using the lens on my Canon Rebel t4i, so he changed my order over the phone. The price of the lens was still cheaper than what Canon or any REPUTABLE dealer sells them for, so I (stupidly) agreed to let them change my order. I received the lens about a week or so later. Once I received the lens, I took it to a local camera shop to verify it's authenticity; as the package it came in was NOT Canon packaging. For all I knew, I could have overpaid for a refurbished lens. The man at the camera store assured me this was not going to be covered by any sort of Canon warranty and advised me to return the product.

Upon calling to return my product, I was hung up on multiple times, put on hold for over 40 minutes at a time, and talked down to by the same man who now claims he has never spoken to me before. Regardless, I told them I needed to return the product. They gave me a return code to use and informed me that there would be a 15% restocking fee. I was angry about the restocking fee because that was never explained to me upon purchasing, but at that point, it would have been worth it to pay the fee and be done with this company, so I agreed to the restocking fee.

I packaged the lens and sent it to the address the rude customer service rep provided me. I wrote a note about the service I had received along with the return code and specifically noted that this was a return, not an exchange. Days later, I got a message saying they have received my package, but needed to verify credit card information before processing my return. When I called to confirm my information for my return, the man told me I did not send the 15% restocking fee with my package– which I was NEVER instructed to do. He then told me they would need it in a money order and to make it out to a company called "Digital" instead of FactoryOfficial. I told him I did not feel comfortable doing this and asked if they could make an adjustment on my card. He was very rude and told me "that's not how this works and if you have a problem with that file a dispute."

Now I need to go get a money order for $99 to send to the company "Digital" in hopes that they actually refund my original order– or file a dispute with my credit card company. I will never make the mistake of purchasing from FactoryOfficial ever again.

I am exploring my options as far as filing a claim against the company, but won't be able to talk to someone today. This is absolutely a scam designed to sell gray market products. PLEASE beware before making a purchase at FactoryOfficial. They are such a waste of time and money.

Don't buy from here. I ordered online and then got an e mail that didn't even look professional, asking me to call them. It was very unusual so I went to research more about them in the internet and that's how I found these bad reviews. I never called them because that is just weird. No decent company operates that way. I was so skeptical that they had all my credit card info so I called my bank and changed my credit card numbers. They don't even have a paypal payment option.
So no, no way. I put a star just to be able to write this review.

Under no circumstances do business with these guys. They gave me 3 different ship dates claiming each time that the item has shipped and that it will arrive in 5-7 days, they claim that their business is in New York and packages typically only take a couple of days to arrive to my location from there.

They could never provide a shipping number, claimed that the item was shipping from the manufacturer, and said if I was to dispute the charge, they would reroute the package back to them, no idea how they can do that without a tracking number and I challenged the guy on that. I then told them to cancel the order via email and they have yet to respond.

I do not base my decision to buy from a vendor just on the feedback of a few unhappy people who might have a bone to pick with a business, I have been buying merchandise online for years and have never had a really bad problem, but these guys are different, I have no idea what they think they are doing. As others have said, these guys will flat out lie to you and you will never get the merchandise you ordered. In my case I have not only asked them to cancel the order, I have filed a dispute with my credit card company, and I am so concerned about these guys, I even had my credit card replaced.

I had similar experience to other poster on here. The camera advertised was in fact the Asian, not the International model. This was not clear on their website. When deciding to change my order, they persuaded me that another model had the same spec. It did not. When I tried to cancel, they shouted over me, wouldn't listen and flatly denied lying to me. They insist on a 15% 're-stocking' fee. I've had to open a dispute with my credit card company and in fact I am now going to cancel my credit card because I do not trust them not to use it fraudulently.

UPDATE to yesterday's post below: Today, July 6, 2016 I received a telephone call from my bank cardholder advising me that Factoryofficial attempted to collect payment today after yesterday being advised I had no further interest in purchasing their product. Bank cardholder advised me that Factoryofficial's attempt was not authorized. I was also advised that Factoryofficial in not located in the United States but is located in Great Britain and that it was a good thing I had not authorized any purchase because of many international sales schemes.

July 5, 2016:
As someone mentioned earlier, "RUN AWAY" and as fast as you can.
Valid credit card used to purchase one (1) ILCE7RM2/B, Sony Alpha a7R II Mirrorless Digital Camera advertised for $2,619.00. Next day received an email saying order could not be shipped and to call 1-646-370-2999, Ext. 715 to verify the order. Upon verifying the order, gentleman I spoke to during no less than 3 calls, attempted to sell accessory items in addition to camera such as batteries (1 for $80 said to last only a couple of hours and 1 for $149 said to last for 8 hours). After three separate calls to clarify attempted purchase with credit card holders (all said by sales person to be declined), I personally obtained authorization with a cardholder to proceed with purchase of the {camera only). I was then told that the model I was about to purchase was an "international model" that did NOT have a full-frame sensor (not true). He offered to sell me a 5 year additional warranty past the manufacturer's warranty for $199. I declined. He then attempted to have me purchase what he said was a U.S. version of the same model that had a full-frame sensor as a kit for $3,099 that would include two batteries, a battery charger, one year manufacturer's warranty and a desk-top tripod. My confidence was lost to proceed with doing any business at all with Factoryofficial and I declined to make any purchase.
Their whole marketing and sales process wreaks with a slippery slope of unsavory business ethics and practices. Below is information exactly excerpted from the original online sales invoice.

Same story as everyone else… I ordered a camera and was told for a week that it had shipped but they were unable to provide a tracking number. I canceled at that point (which confirmed my suspicion it never shipped) and was told I would receive a refund within 10-15 days. After 15 days expired I was then told it could take up to 30 days for the refund to be issued. After 30 days I was again told to wait another week. I had to file a claim with my bank to get my money back. These guys will lie to you.

called a few times within a week about different cameras on their website, i got the same answer for all " not available" and immediately hang up the phone. how the fukc do you expect people to buy from you. the worst customer service, fukcing joke

During business hours called 3 times, was on hold for 30 minutes, 35 minute & 1 hour, no one ever answered. Emailed & never received a reply. Finally just cancelled my order via email & informed my credit card company. Would rather pay a little more from a company I can contact then play this game.

really need to make a no star option for this one.

I found this company by looking for the best price and called to purchase a couple cameras as you have already read total bait and switch but the worst part is the guy who I'm guessing is either the owner or maybe his really spoiled man child? literally hates you and hangs up on you if you don't say exactly what he wants to hear which is pretty much "here you go take my money"

last time it took me about 6-7 called just to confirm that it wasn't the right camera. I actually thought the first several attempts that the call must have been cutting out but its the guy he apparently thinks it a fun game.

I hung up and paid a little extra from a trusted company and it was absolutely worth the extra to keep my self worth intact.

I forgot the company name and today I accidentally called back looking for some more cameras almost 3 months later and immediately recognized the guys snotty voice and almost laughed. sure enough he hung up on me

I'm guessing any good reviews you see here are them doing damage control.

Take your money somewhere else like I did its worth the extra money to have a product you can trust and people who respect you.

to the man who hangs up on everyone all I have to say is I don't know if your the owner or his man child but you are definitely in the wrong business and are costing your company thousands in sales. You should be ashamed of yourself.

AVOID! I called in to ask about a camera. The customer service rep tells me that it includes everything, then he quotes me a price $80 higher than what I have online, so I say I'll order it online, and the guy hung up on me mid sentence. Then after I order it online, they send me an email a few days later saying that it doesnt include the battery, which he said it did before. I call in once again to find out whats going on and they tell me that it doesn't and never did, and when I ask them to hold the order so I can look into it, they tell me that its still cheaper than Amazon, etc. and that they'd just go and cancel the order. I say that I want it on hold for a few minutes, and they just hung up on me and canceled the order. The worst customer service ever! The way I see it, they did me a favor, if they are this bad to ordering customers, then if I had issues with the camera, I'm sure the customer service would have been even worse.

They suck big time. The service is really bad. I ordered a camera and it has been over a month but still it says that the preparation is in progress and they don't reply to your email. They also don't pick up your call. Now they are saying that it was cancelled. They are a fraud. Waste of money you are never getting that money back.

I tried to order a camera as advertised. They called me and advised that was their "International" model but I could get the "English" version for $80 more dollars. I tried to cancel the order via email that they sent me. They proceeded the order – I emailed them 4 times and asked them to cancel and they would not. Then they wanted a 15% restock fee. They said they never got any emails from me. Very rude customer service and would not give me any names of supervisors. The sales person yelled and hung up on me.

I ordered an expensive camera from Factory Official and had the camera in my hands in a little over a week. They did everything they promised and more. I would deal with them again in a heartbeat – good company.

Where do I begin with my experience? I ordered a camera after finding this site offered a much cheaper price tag compared to others (should have been a warning). The day after I placed my order with my credit card I received an email saying that I need to call and confirm before they ship the items. I call to confirm, the gentleman was rude and unhappy. Clearly he did not like his job, I gave him the information he asked for and then he hangs up on me. I called back and get him again, I tell him my info again and he says "well can I help you with something" i explained I was making sure my item was confirmed for shipment and he hung up on me again. By this time I'm frustrated VERY frustrated. The day after this phone call I decided to cancel my order due to an uneasy feeling I'm getting. I've received no email stating that my confirmation for the shipment is being processed I recieved nothing and that worries me. I called them again, and too my luck I got the man again, after having to call multiple times I was continuously hung up on and it got to the point where each time I called I got the same man and I was furious. "I want to cancel my order" I told him. "Your order was already cancelled yesterday. " he said. "No I confirmed shipment yesterday" regardless, after me telling him about the TERRIBLE customer service and I never recieved emails proving the shipment or the cancellation that this was just very sketchy and I wanted proof in case my card was charged. Basically I got hung up on again. Too shorten this a little bit I basically had to deal with my credit card company today on taking actions to get a new card so they couldn't charge me in case this is indeed a scam (which I'm very positive it is). Please do not buy from here.

Listing is for camera and lens. Description states "…included lithium ion battery", however they require a call to confirm the order and asked what battery I wanted. 2 hour or 6 hour. I said the one that comes with the camera in the box. I'm not buying a second battery. He said the camera doesn't come with a battery because I bought the import model. Only US versions come with the battery. I pulled up the product I bought and it doesn't state anywhere grey market, Non US warranty, Import, etc. He said if I want the US model that would be $349, not $279. I read him the ad and the part that said the battery was included on the description and told him I don't want the grey market model, I want what his website described. He said "I'm cancelling your order, your card has not been charged, goodbye" and hung up on me.

I called for about 3 day consequently they had me on hold for about 45 mins. Once they answer they just answer one question and hang up the phone. I keep calling they answer and hang up again.

The camera listed on the site is only sold without the battery, charger or accessories. They required a call for more purchase confirmation and I waited 30 minutes on hold before finding that the camera was being sold wholesale, this meaning the body only. This is inconsistent with the product page. Buyer beware. Luckily they never charged the card.

FAKE COMPANY…!! STEALING YOUR MONEY…!!

BUYERS BEWARE…!!! DON'T BUY AT ALL…!!!

These guys keep changing names from Primotronics to Best Price Photo to America Camera to AJRichies to eDigitalUniverse to Factoryofficial & use fake addresses & customer Rep names..!!

Just check reviews on BBB website (Better Business Bureau) to find how many complaints against them..!!

I bought about $1650 Nikon camera body from them in 2012 …!!

Called them for about 2-3 months…. sometime on hold for more than 40-50 mins, only once they answered to tell that order already shipped from overseas & will receive in 2-3 weeks…!!

NOTE : Never give them your real number or if you already gave them your phone number, then try to contact them with another number, otherwise they keep all customer's phone numbers in database & when we called, they check from caller ID & if it matches from their database, they never receives it..!!

Never received item, nor they refunded & then closed business & opened with another name… You can't do anything after they closed business as credit card company or bank unable to process your complaints..!!

I'm writing this review after 3.5 years of my purchase, because i just found out that Factoryofficial is the same company as BestPricePhoto…!!

Hi All you need to Beware of this company. My husband and I placed an order for a Nikon D5200 Camera and our order went through normally. We then received an email that we needed to call and confirm something with the shipping address. Upon calling we spoke to the RUDEST man, first of all he tried to sell us two batteries to which we told him we did not need, he was very short and abrupt. We then confirmed the shipping address and he then tried to reconfirm the sales price for $100 dollars more than we had paid!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? When we tried to explain that we had already purchased the camera with free shipping and a 5% discount he argued with us and threatened to cancel the order, we then told him we would leave a bad review and he continued to argue with us and told us that we could not do that. WELL WE ARE DOING IT. I then called back and spoke to their Customer Service line which was extremely incompetent, I tried to ask the man (this was a new person-the voice was different) if we could discuss our order and he was also very rude, when I asked him to speak nicely to us he then yelled that he would cancel the order and HUNG UP ON ME. Apparently you are not allowed to inquire about incompetent and rude employees without getting your order cancelled.

DO NOT TRUST THEM! We are now putting a hold on our credit card information for fear of retaliation.
