Fragrantica

There are some nice, helpful users and reviews there but the forums are horrible. They've become corrupted over time like a lot of forums seem to do (why is that?) Just very rude, condescending moderators.

Good safe website about parfumes

I've been a member of Fragrantica for seven years off and on.
As far as reviews you will have younger kids affecting the rating of particular pefurmes in annoying way.
Really, finding reviewers that you respect is helpful. In the end you have to smell and resmell a fragrance to make decision backed by known long time members' reviews.
The forum is fun and informative. People are always there to help.
The owners of this site are wonderful people who take your any concern seriously.
I enjoy Fragrantica.

Learned a lot about perfume, but the admins are terrible, and they allow bullying and mentally ill people to post a lot of fake profiles and attack people. Very little monitoring. Lots of sock puppets indeed! You don't know who you're really talking to. Some real nasty characters on here.

the very best site with all the info on fragrances. Do not waste your time on other ones, this site is a true knowledge treasure, and there is a forum too! 5 stars all the way.

This is an excellent site to find unbiased information about fragrances.

My one reservation is that some of the reviews are not actually a review of the fragrance but are expressions (by users of the site) of a desire to TRY it. There are also a number of users who write "reviews" which are very long and completely irrelevant; sometimes you have to scroll through reams of rubbish until you find the information you need.

It would be helpful if moderators removed these types of review – but this is a minor criticism of a really useful site.

Safe site about perfumes.

Used to think this was one of the best fragrance sites because of its open and easy going approach. Until recently when they started demanding registration if you want to view (let alone write) the reviews. No, I do not want to view them that badly. I don't need yet another login request. So long Fragrantica, it was nice knowing you.

Awesome website, where you can read everything about your favorite perfume.

Bad/lazy admins and religious bigots. Not a good site to use.
They also do little to not about people being cheated. People are allowed to swap perfumes there and many of them got ripped off. No action was taken as far as I can see. Beware of getting scammed.

Bad Admins – Lots of Sockpuppets – Started out nice and friendly but it has become infested with a lot of confusing processes and people wanting only to win Free Perfume. Most importantly, the website has amateur Administrators who are careless about how they speak to their members and cannot speak English well themselves so they tend to put out a lot of misconstrued postings.

The sites claims to be for English speaking people, but MOST are from Europe and have trouble understanding plain English.

Cannot recommend this site if you are a serious Perfume person as they have load of sock puppets and having multiple accounts is quite easily done.
