I used the program once in 2016 to see what features it offers. Was offered a free trial and, of course, I immediately canceled it as i didn't really like the options.
Soon i found out that i couldnt fully cancel the subscription and i was chared an annual fee of 39.99$ WHICH I NEVER APPLIED FOR.
I immediately canceled and had to have my card re-issued.
Today, 4 years after that incident, i receive a notification from my bank that i was charged 39.99$ for Pro subscription for Fotor. I mean really??? i practially forgot about the program's existence as i havent been using it ever since then.And how did they get my new cards info???
Thankfully my bank did a chargeback but again i have to spend my own time to get another card re-issued thanks to them.

Purchased this app yesterday and found it easy to use, produced a good product. Today when I tried to use it I was denied…again asked to subscribe (although I can see the payment going out on my debit card). Tried to restore and was denied that too. Tried to re-purchase and was denied that also.

Absolutely appalling company!!! Advertised a service at a monthly fee, then take the whole yearly subscription amount, this is false advertising and I will be consulting trading standards. Requested a refund but they will not allow this and just sent alternative payment amounts, making you think you are getting a better deal, which of course you are not. I am sick to death of companies taking advantage of people and then having to take the time to sort it out.

I will also be contacting Paypal with a detailed complaint.

Horrible. I apparently used this editing app once? It even says on my iCloud that I never even downloaded such app. I saw the charge in an emailed receipt from them for 39.99. Um, I鈥檓 disputing that charge with my bank because I have much better apps to use let alone pay for this horrible one. No idea how they got my info, seriously. No evidence I downloaded it, ever.

Hello I am having a problem with online site from Uk name Fotor. I made a purchase for an item on Friday and only which seems like it costs 鈧?.33. But apparently the monthly package is 鈧?.99 and so your advertisement is deceptive. But apparently I was charged 鈧?5.77 so I should be refunded 鈧?6.78. I have no need for any annual membership or any of their products. I am currently not working because of Corona & should not be scammed or exploited by this company. I need this corrected and resolved quickly. Their customer service office refuses to assist me.

Im extremely unsatisfied with this service … I accidentally purchased a yearly subscription when i thought i was just buying a template for one time use & was charged $40. When i realized, I cancelled my subscription immediately & emailed the team straightaway to request a refund as I have truly no need for a subscription whatsoever & was told that my purchase couldnt be reversed. What a money making scam of a company! Would not recommend to anyone, very sneaky way of taking your money!

Bad terms of percentage when selling your pictures and shady copyright agreements. Also, bad customer service. Not recommended.

wouldnt refund me after i had opted for monthly payments. instead theyve billed me for a whole year, in the middle of a pandemic, which i cant afford.

I paid $40 for a year's subscription. Wasn't happy the first time I used the program and asked for a refund, which was denied. Highly-touted in online reviews, it was not apparent until the company's email reply that Fotor is a Chinese enterprise based in Hong Kong. Negative reviews, especially those about automatic or unauthorized subscription renewals and other charges, prompted me to cancel my debit card and get a new one.

Looking for some quick and free editing program to remove blemishes for a profile picture I stumbled across Fotor. It advertised itself as free, but obviously I went in expecting some sort of cache because things are only really "free" in parentheses.

Immediatly upon going to the editing tool there were ads on every corner of the screen and it wanted to give me notifications. Never allow a site to give you notifications because its likely spam. The tool proved fairly effective but only basic tools were available for free. If you tried to use anything like the smoothening tools or the like then it would ask you to upgrade your account. So I registered, surprisingly it didn't need any verification of e-mail, or asked you to write in your email or password twice to make sure they were correct.
I used a throw-away e-mail because I figured this was going to be some spammy crap. And indeed, immediatly upon registering I have messages in my account inbox on the site about how I can 'Win an Iphone 11'
Smooth guys, talk about 2008 scam tactics. I went into my account and surprisingly you can't remove any E-mail registered. You get zero access to edit your account which is very troubling to know.

However, I noticed these details after I was actually about to pay for premium, I only wanted like 10 pictures done. Pay once and be done with it. Immediatly the site shows you two prices, one that's $3,33 at the top. And one that is $8,99 bellow it.
HOWEVER the $3,33 is the broken down monthly cost but it charges you an ANUAL fee so you actually pay $40. But of course they write that in small text. Scummy but I live in sweden and I've seen american sites do similar things so I figured it wasn't unusual that such practices are allowed in the rest of the world.

I proceeded to payments but when I got to paypal to verify the 8,99 dollar payment all I saw was chinese letters as the recipient.

So for the sake of your personal information and any data do not use this decietful chinese crap.
After I saw that I went here, checked the reviews and saw all the people having trouble contacting support about problems. And there is your issue, they barely know english and they aren't living in a country that has strict consumer guidelines. And you are giving your E-mail and payment info to that site. Don't do that. Avoid this like the plague.

I have never resorted to a one-star review, but in this case I had to. I signed up for Fotor in the usual way. When it came time for renewal, I had not used Fotor for at least six months. I did not receive a notice that payment was coming due. The only notice I received was the payment acknowledgement for another full year. When I contacted Fotor, they refused to return payment, so now I'm stuck with a $40 bill for something I will never use. This is unacceptable customer service in this electronic age.

0 stars for these scammers!! They Auto-renewed my account, even after I had emailed, and followed their cancellation policy steps. Can鈥檛 call anyone and I have used the app once. Now a year later, I am paying for the 2nd year. I can鈥檛 wait for the experience ahead. I can鈥檛 even read the billing info on my account because it鈥檚 written in Chinese. Stay away from this unethical product and company.

I needed to edit a photo on a Saturday, so I tried renewing my Fotor subscription. I used the Fotor reset password link to regain access, but unfortunately the email did not arrive until the following Monday. By that time, I had found another service. Fotor would not refund my money even though their system was faulty. This is unethical, and I want to make sure that others are aware. Avoid!

Was slow and always told me I had to use Chrome – or I'd get errors… What caused me to do a review is that I somehow thought paying $30 would be worth it – well – your subscription goes on autorenew- so, mine renewed, I emailed them within minutes of seeing it hit my card and asked if they could cancel and refund since I no longer use it – and their lovely support pointed me to two sections of their contract – and said: "we will not offer a refund for paid fees since our product is a virtual and subscription model."

Find any other tool than these guys…

The tool is easy to use and photo filters are amazing!
I used this tool to edit my blogging photos that center around super creepy abandoned houses and ghost towns, warm and beautiful wildlife and nature scenes. In the beginning, I used my phone to take photos, but now I got a real camera, so I have to use this functional tool to replicate the look that I made with phone software. I found its filters were helpful and made my photos look better. Hope they can add more beautiful photo effects and resources so I can have more choices.

This program was not compatible with my cameras raw photos and I requested a refund and cancellation immediately. Somehow I was charged again a year later and they will not refund me. I did not use the program in that year. SCAM!

I learned fotor from my photography teacher. Awesome for me to touch up and add text to travel pics. I like my Facebook designs updated. Save me from learning design,I don't have much time for that. But it takes time to find what I like. Plenty of options. Helpful vlog information. Great suggestions! I wanna try a vlog.

It won't let you unsubscribe by yourself. They do not warn you of charges. I will probably have to cancel my card because of them.

Paid for the pro version – but can't access it and there is no way to contact anyone.

The product was awful, constantly crashing and not loading. Also the editing curves were bad.

I seeked a refund. Customer service just told me to clear my cache and update google chrome and said a refund wasn't possible.

Awful experience! I made the unfortunate choice to buy their annual subscription and then had questions about the functionality of the software. Their customer support staff is non existent and they ignore any email requests! I would never recommend them to anyone & I plan on disputing the charge on my credit card.

this company will scam you, the customer service is awful! I found this site through google was looking for editing site. they advertised to separate prices $3.33 a month or $8.68 a month I thought I would give it a try for the $3.33 a month not realizing they were going to charge me the full annual price for $39.99 to my paypal account. I immediately cancelled my subscription did not even use the site or services tried to find contact number to call company to issue refund. no phone call could take place, tried the contact form two days no response found a direct email they were rude and absolutely refused to issue a refund. Please don't take the risk unless you are 100% sure you want to use their services! i was scammed out of $39.99
